24 hour review: If you want to avoid the light along the edges seen in some other images, listen to the Instructions and cut it 2cm too big, then cut to size once adhered. It seems as though you can get it perfect if you really take your time with a metal ruler pressed tight against the silcone and an xacto. Pattern is as shown but you do not get the rainbow as shown. At best you will get a small patch of rainbow effect under a direct bright light (The colors seen in image are from my red and blue lamp). Blackout is effective. I did not listen and put it on a window that gets morning sun. It does get very hot and does slightly shrink it. The 142 degrees above is with ~50 degree external temps at 9am. I will be applying external protection from direct sun. If I don't update, it held up well.

So I thought it would be somewhat deceiving. I was wrong. It's 100% black /blackout. It's like putting a black curtian up on the window. Does it work yes. It's just not what I was expecting.

Impossible to cut to size. I followed directions leaving overlap and then going back to trim. Disaster. The design pulls the blade so you can’t get a straight cut. Waste of money.

I am a night shift nurse so I have to sleep during the day. Even with blackout curtains and blinds the light was still more than I wanted. These are a game changer. Zero, and I mean zero light comes through these. Make sure you have a good clock and alarm clock because every time is night time. One roll was enough to cover an entire average sized window and almost half of a second window. Ended up buying 2 to cover both my windows. Installation was easy, just misted the glass with a water bottle and the cling stuck no problem.
