This jacket works really well to keep sparks and hot metal off your shoulders when welding overhead and in tight places. I use it almost every day and have been very pleased with the quality, especially at a value price. It's very heavy and pretty hot in the summer, but there's no way to protect yourself while welding and not be hot. The size seems to be just right (I bought a large). I weld almost exclusively overhead and in tight spaces and this jacket allows me to get closer to the weld and see better. Great jacket for the price! I'm 5' 7” and 190 lb. Bought a large and it fits right. Lots of outdoor and dirty use, and so far I'm happy. We do a lot of high amperage stick welding and the leather sleeves are a must. This is holding up great so far! Just a heads up, it's going to be heavier than a cotton jacket, so it's a little warmer, but still very flexible. ... show more

just as good as the big brands at the welding companies.. lightweight and feels good, pockets could be a tad bigger and maybe add a pocket on the sleeve.. Price wasn't that bad. another $5 - $10 off it would be perfect. along with the extra pocket..

It is a good looking welding jacket. It is comfortable and I bought a xl for my son who is 6'4''. It fits well. Not too tight but just snug enough to still be movable and protect. It is made out of durable leather for the shoulder,chest,and arms. It will function well since with his other jacket he keeps getting burnt through openings. Got this for my son for welding class in 9th grade. This jacket fits him good, he is on the smaller side, and it’s not snug but does the job. The material seems very durable, and safe for welding. Doesn’t seem very heavy either.
