Description

The DEWALT DCHJ067B-2XL 20V/12V MAX Black Heated Hoodie (Bare) are part of the DEWALT Heated Jacket line up. This black heated hoodie features a durable wind resistant polyester outer shell, 3 core heating zones (Left/Right chest, and mid-back), 2 total pockets (zippered pockets for added protection), and a built in hood and collar with adjustable drawstrings. This hoodie features an LED controller with 3 temperature settings (high, med, low with pre-heat function), and are capable of running both 20V Max and 12V Max batteries, which will both provide hours of core body warmth and continuous heat. The battery pockets expands to accept DEWALT XR 4.0 Ah battery packets. There is also a USB power source with 2 USB power ports for charging portable electronic devices. This USB power features a new extension that allows you to place it in front or back pockets. This hoodie features re-enforced stitching on the cuffs, a robust metal zipper, drawstring in hood, and an added wind guard that blocks the wind from coming through the zipper. I’m 5'9" and 160 lbs, and while the large is a little baggy, I actually prefer the looser fit. A medium might have been a better choice for a more snug feel, but I wear a vest over it to help retain heat, and it works great. I’ve used this sweatshirt in negative temperatures, and it makes such a difference—especially on windy days when the cold air cuts through everything. The 2Ah battery lasts a good while, and the USB port for charging your phone is a nice bonus. The sweatshirt has 3 heat settings, and the high setting will definitely keep you toasty! Overall, it’s been a solid purchase for staying warm and comfortable in even the harshest conditions. My boyfriend really liked the jacket but didn’t give it a 5 due to it being kinda heavy he said. He loves everything about the jacket except it feeling heavy also because he carries the Dewalt battery in the pocket so it can stay on. Ordered a size 2XL so it’s on the bigger side. Nice Looking Hoodie. Battery Pocket is deep and wide. Im 6’ / 180lbs and ordered the Large. It fits snug with only a tshirt or similar long sleeved shirt under. Which is exactly the fit i wanted. I had an initial issue of the heat panels not coming on at first, even with a fully charged battery. The next issue was the heater turning off on its own, about 10 minutes in. When it worked i could really feel the heat on my back, the chest notsomuch. I wore it indoors first to test time/temp. About 3 hours. I began on High(Red) and had to lower to the medium(white) after about 30 minutes. About 10 minutes later i noticed it shut itself off. Started process over with no problems after that. Wore it outside next day to push snow. 25 degrees out. A columbia winter coat with a fleece liner. High Heat(Red). Again, you can really feel the heat on your back, the chest notsomuch. But it stayed powered up for the hour or so i was outdoors.. Overall: its a nice hoodie, little disappointed initially due to the unexplained power offs and chest panels lacking heat. Fit is pretty spot on. I typically wear XL shirts & hoodies because i prefer a looser fit. The L was snug, as i expected. Again, im 6’ 180lbs Ill give it some time and update this review. ... show more

First off I ordered a size small... box said small but the jacket was a freakin large! I'm tiny as heck .. also the jacket is very uncomfortable. I could feel all the wires .. and it only heats up In one section.. and then to have to carry the battery on u.. soooo not cool.. I'm a dewalt freak so I had to give it a shot.. like I mentioned I'm tiny so I'm always cold .. I thought maybe I found my way of beating the cold... NOT!.. no matter what I'll still be a die hard fan of dewalt .. but this was just sad.. first thing I bought from them that I can say i hated .... DEWALT YOU CAN DO BETTER.. I'm a huge lover I even made a purse out of the multipurpose zip bags.. hahaha... well I'll keep my eyes open hoping to see a better invention =) ... show more
