This was a dream. I'm graduating from an old monster 1200W PSU that I had in my full tower case. Unfortunately, that thing was too big to fit into modern cases, especially now they all use that annoying PSU "sleeve" setup inside. So I needed something smaller, and would not compromise on getting something that was fully modular, and had to be at least 1000W because I have the max internal hard drives I can stuff inside my case. This power supply is quiet, the cords and connectors are high quality, flexible enough for good cable management, and tight connections. The back where the cables connect to the power supply are nicely colour coded for which type cable goes where if you can't get a good full-on look at it to read the text labels because you already installed it in the case then realize you want to swap a couple connectors. Not that I did this! ( I totally did this) It's super quiet. I upgraded from a bronze standard to this gold one and my power bill already dropped a bit. I've already had a power outage and 2 monsoon storms and the protections worked perfect. The metal exterior is nice and firm, not easy to bend just pressing your thumb against it. I especially loved that it came with a tester connector that you can easily plug in so that there's no nervous paper clip action going on. Finally, the price is incredible value. I was on the tightest budget imaginable and desperate to get something modular, 1000W, and small enough to fit and this was the best value ever! ... show more

I bought the ES1000 which has 10year warranty. I have used it less than 1 year(bought in July 2024). Recently, when I tried to play the new game (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024), the power supply was beeping then it shutdown my computer. I have AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, my computer setup is well below the 1000W limit of the power supply. I used the OCCT tool to test and found that the power supply failed the test, which means it cannot handle the CPU and GPU at full load. During game play of MSFS 2024, the GPU was only pulling 180W to 195W, which is below the 230W max of the GPU. As for CPU it was only pulling around 80W. It works fine with other games like Black Myth Wukong and NBA 2K24. I have sent an email to Pystar asking for a replacement. If they do send me a replacement, I will bump up this rating. ... show more

I am not one to skimp on power management, and this PSU is no exception despite its comparatively low cost to other 1000W PSUs. In the past, I have used PSUs from just about every retailer from EVGA to Corsair. This PSU has given me no problems supporting my 7800X3d CPU and RTX 4090. I have seen no signs of power failure or significant regulation issues. The PSU simply does its job. It did so well that I bought an additional PSU for a build I did in the summer. I received this product and immediately opened it to ready for installation. Reading the instructions, I noted that the PSU was to be tested, using a supplied jumper, before installation. The instructions were not, however, clear about how the supplied cable for said jumper was to be attached the the PSU itself. The instructions have a picture showing the end of the cable requiring the jumper and how they need to be connected but what it doesn't show is how the other end needs to be attached to the PSU. There are two cables that have to be plugged in for it to function properly, not just one. My initial mistake was assuming that only the long, narrow plug needed to be plugged into the PSU but that's not the case. All the plugs of the included cable will be utilized. One will be attached to the testing jumper and the other two will be attached to the PCU, the long narrow plug and the shorter, rectangle plug. Hope this helps. Cheers! ... show more
