I did used a Crossover to make it play only from 50 hertz to 5 kilo hertz. That's actually the bass that i needed, if i would it wanted any deeper i would've buy a bigger subwoofer like 10" or 12" but my room is small. 6 1/2" is perfect for me.

If you are planning on buying this to replace a 10inch dedicated sub is not going to happen, however my old subaru does not have the 6x9 fits for the speakers so my bass was lacking big time this MIDSUBS where great since they work with the power from the stereo plug and play it lacks in some deep frequencies so dont expect great bass but for me since I didnt have to modify anything they worked great. ... show more

Oops, I blew the factory subwoofer. This one had a magnet somewhat larger than OEM, but it sounds great.
