  • Professional DJ - These speakers are awesome! Great price and great sound.
I've been a professional DJ for the past three years and I was looking for an additional set of speakers to take on some "country gigs." Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, especially considering the price. My main speakers are QSC K12s, which cost more for one speaker than the entire Proreck Club 3000 system. With that being said, the sound quality of the Proreck system is insanely good. The bass gets a bit muddy at very low frequencies, but the mids and highs are crisp and overall, it delivers excellent sound. My first gig was at a barn dance (see picture) and I had no problems setting up the speakers and hooking up my DDJ-SX2 controller and microphone to the XLR inputs. The barn holds about 300 people and the sound filled the room quite easily. In fact, I had the master level at about half and a couple people said it was too loud. Pros: - inexpensive - multiple inputs - on-board EQ - adjustable height for array speakers - Bluetooth connectivity - great sound quality Cons - cheaply constructed (plastic array speakers and cheap coating on the woofers that chips off easily) - heavy (weighs 125lbs total. I think my QSCs are 36lbs each) - takes a while to find the right levels - bass is a bit muddy - array speakers don't come with a case (I use a hockey bag) - I don't like the name "Proreck" - honestly, it just sounds stupid ... show more

  • I'm blown away by this system!
I've spent many years in the audio business - trust me on this one. I wanted a system for parties at our clubhouse, Usually there's 50-100 people. I looked at several other systems by known companies, but when I saw the double subwoofers on this system, I was impressed. But it was $100 or more below the big guys! It came today, and just wow. First, quality. It's a heavy system and comes in three big boxes. Everything was well packed, the fit and finish on all of the pieces was perfect. As a bonus, the manufacturer includes extra screws and other pieces. All in all, a real quality job. The amp is plenty loud enough for the parties. Any louder and it would be uncomfortable. But what got me was sound quality. Sure, there's two subs, which really pump out the bass, but the sparkle of this system is the tweeters. As you can see from the pictures, it has an array of eight tweeters pointing mostly upward. This gives excellent sound dispersion and just a superb image. You don't have ear-bleeding hot spots like most PA speakers, and since it's directed upwards it's spreads well. Two more things to mention. There's a built in graphic EQ, a great feature most systems don't have, and there's a 'depth' feature similar to a short echo, that adds to the plushness of the music. I didn't think I would use it, but once I heard it, I like it. It's the best value in PA systems out there. You'll be blown away too. ... show more

  • Best Buy for your money!
I am a musician and decided to try this unit out after reading some pretty intriguing reviews. Just received it today and have spent the last 2 hours evaluating it. In a snapshot, this is what I can say: - As others have reported, this thing is LOUD. I initially ran an iPad into a channel and had it set at line level vs. mic. I was unimpressed with the level. However, I switched it to mic and VOILA! - You will have to take time to find the right EQ settings to suit your taste. - As others have attested, the bass is not, by any means, the best that you’ll find; however, I ran a straight line into two additional passive Bose woofers (Bose B1s) and it sounded GREAT-and it didn’t overload. - I typically use Bose (L1 and 2 B1s)and QSC K12s for DJing and band PAs. As a test, I set up one K12 on a stand next to the system and compared sound from the system at $569 vs. oneK12 at $899. As much as I love QSC, there is no doubt that the Proreck was the best bargain. For an audiophile, there will probably be some quality of sound arguments that could be had, but for a DJ or musician, I would definitely argue that two Proreck systems against two K12s will win every time- for about $400-$600 less. Crisp, clean highs, adequate kids, and enough bass for small to medium sized venues-but I would definitely use other bass augmentation in larger venues. After comparing, I ran the two together. Just AWESOME. I will probably run the Proreck alongside the QSCs in the short term but I see no reason why I won’t be able to run this as a solo system for some of my smaller venues. ... show more

  • Honest review on the PRORECK Club 3000, Strong points and low points.
We are a 80's cover band and have a huge sound system, but for smaller gigs don't need to haul the big rig around. So I bought the ProReck Club System 3000. Best part is that it sets up fast! Bought some hockey bags for the top speakers (lined with some foam to keep from getting marked up) Found some Fender sub covers for the subs. Like a lot of people say the subs get pretty lose sounding and get muddy. I fixed this by replacing the stock speakers with a 12 inch DVC speaker built for a car (HYANKA 12 inch subwoofer, 1600 Watts Max Power Dual 4 Ohm Competition Car Subwoofer, 45-1000 hz, Dual Voice Coil) this is a amazon brand speaker but it's very heavy, with great specs, good for all the power this ProReck club 3000 system can toss at it. YES, you can use a car sub LOL. Now the bass is full tight and can go down to DJ music with no problem. Turn it up and the police will be dispatched (to my home) The nice thing about the dual 4 Ohm voice coils is you can make it a 8 Ohm speaker, 4, or 2 Ohm speaker in how you wire it up. :) Now the system sounds like a nice sound system for your home when your not using it live, very well balanced with just the right amount of bass and that is with the gain just barely on. I think ProReck needs to install T-Nuts for the speakers instead of just screwing into the MDF, I will not last long ( that's what I did was to change that ) also drill the holes a bit bigger for the mounting screws that mount the speaker grill on. When you try to remove the screws sometimes the MDF would come with it. Easy fix a larger counter sunk hole. Last would be the box, MDF will NOT hold up to any kind of moving around in the rain or on the road for gigging or DJ work either. Make it out of plywood guys. If PRORECK reads this, please take time and look at what your selling, it so close to a perfect sound system. The tops sound really good, have not looked at what you did for crossovers to the tweeter but will be soon. Last couple things are the sideways movement on the to speakers. They rock a little side by side and then the speakers look bent and not strait to the eyes, So maybe a little more tighter bracket. I'm sure most people would pay the extra money to have this system upgraded for more pro use. Might up the price a couple hundred dollars but would be well worth it. Also more insulation inside the sub cabinet would be a good idea. I plan to treat my MDF with rubber coating and adding some more speaker insulation. Also will treat the outside with waterproof coatings as well. All in all it's still a great bang for the buck and I'm sure after I'm done updating it will work fine for us. The new sub speakers rock, and it get loud with tight sold bass, and will go down to very lows on DJ dance music. :) Side Note: Replacing your stock speakers will void the warranty. So that's up to you! I plan on making money with this system so I do care what the bass sounds like and that the sub speakers will hold up under high spl's. Just my 2 cents. :) 6/14/2023 update: Still loving the speakers, seems like I am missing a little of the bass guitar in the mix, drums sound fine. So I'm trying a different bass speaker made by SAAT, it's only rated at 200 watts rms. So we will see what the difference is between the two. I was thinking maybe I could run the sub amps at 4 ohms, but I see it says 8 ohms. The Array speakers can go either 4/8 ohms. So it could be they are running an mono amp in 4 ohms mode with two 8 ohms speakers hooked up. The would seem to make since, so I would never try to swap out the 12 inch bass speakers with 4 ohms ones unless you take to PRORECK and get an OK that it can go lower ohms and be stable. So I will update when I know how the SAAT speakers sound compared to the large subs I put in. The main thing is to get a speaker that will have a lot of out put but sound really good on low end with no mud. That's my goal. So stay tuned and I will find the perfect replacement woofer speakers. ... show more

  • Easy set up and great sound quality
This is my second set of speakers I purchased since starting my DJ business. They were supposed to be my back up speakers but after hearing them and using them at a event I decided that these will be my main ones. The sound quality is great and the fan is so quiet you don't even hear it unless you have your head down at the subwoofer. I did have a issue at first when I set them up I could only get one of the highs to work unless I had it on bluetooth but then I realized it was not a speaker malfunction it was my own fault. So once I rewired my DJ controller to the mixer then to the speakers they worked great. Only problem I have is when it is on bluetooth hooked up with the DJ controller there is a huge lag between the controller and the speakers but I prefer using RCA cables anyway so not a concern for me. Great speakers bass is great especially if you use a mixer and sound clarity from the highs is great. Definitely gonna get another set in the future just to have as a spare or maybe use with the current ones for larger events. ... show more

  • Love the system - UPDATE !!
7/7/2018 Love the system, using it for home theater and in few weeks it will be used for a reception. before then i had 2 receivers and 10 speaker surround sound, that has been replaced with this system, alot less speaker wires!! NO REGRETS!!..... The E.Q. will need alot of adjusting to get the sound right where you want it. the remote will not fully control the system unless its being used for mp3/bluetooth, But you may add a receiver to it so you may be able to control the volume to the entire system. UPDATE! 10/30/2021 Comment above was from 3 years ago, Until now things have changed..... I was thinking about purchasing another power subwoofer to add on what i got 3 years ago since all of sudden the channel for the "left" array speakers started to sound lower than the rest of the system, the sound is still going through but it just sounds lower, the subwoofers and "right" array speakers sound normal. Theres 4 channels and 1 isnt working right. Even with wireless device connected to it. I will be adding an amp for the arrays and continue to use the subs and they go out then get a higher end sub and a seperate mixer to connect everthing together including amp and arrays...... I never got a single word from prorek when i reached out for help. So for that to happen, changing my 5 to 1 star... i wont be purchasing from prorek again. ... show more

  • Pretty great deal! Going on 6 years with these. Still work great!
Updated review: These were a great intro PA system and are still in use as a supplement to my much better sounding pro gear. Not that these sound bad. I actually found that using CH3/4 in the line level setting with some EQ tweaks to taste work best for my needs. My only real issue with these is that the array speakers sound a little "tinny" or slightly megaphone-esque when compared to more expensive speakers. Subs works great to supplement bass. I wouldn't recommend these as your mains for shows but they do the job if you need something that works for a good price. Old review (still mostly valid): Like other reviews say, you will probably have to toy with the EQ a bit before you'll get this to sound how you like. Another thing with my experience is I had to mess around with which input & input setting would produce the best result for me. I use these as PA speakers and they work exactly how I never thought these would. Really great! As for shipping, I had no issues with that. I received an Amazon email from the seller with the shipping info and a friendly message, they all came at the same time, and it arrived sooner than anticipated. For the price and what you can potentially do with these, this is a great deal. ... show more

  • Amazing
Ordered the proreck club 3000 for a special event. It arrived really quick to my front door. I unfortunately received a bad active subwoofer that did not play any sound no matter what we tried. The amp powered on but no sound. This is most likely due to the delivery driver dropping the package on our cement stairs along with the passive subwoofer. Thankfully we discovered the issue in advance of the event. I reached out to support about returning the unit and they sent me a replacement free of charge. The response was super quick and solved my issue immediately. The sound quality is perfect for what we need. This system is very versatile and we love the bluetooth. We walked out about 400ft and it did not lose connection. It comes with a remote that I'll probably never use but a nice feature to have for a small band. The outer texture on the subwoofer boxes look professional and sleek. I wish they made these back in my dj days! ... show more
