I want to put your mind at ease because majority of reviews say too small. I'm an XL and was worried too. But, its actually slim fitting and I still have room to move around, raise up my arms, sit down and everything. The only thing I dislike is the hood. It could be a little longer when I have it on my head. Overall though, it's a beautiful coat. Extremely flattering. Doesn't make me look like a box like some winter coats. It hits just above the mid butt and doesn't ride up. The arm length is perfect not too long but, still long enough where its covering my half of my hands at the cuffs. Very disappointed in this coat. The plastic zipper broken after only a few months use. It was a present from my son for Christmas, and by Easter (when we get the most snow here) it’s useless!

Firstly, I’m a true medium in most clothes. I am 5’6 and 140lbs. I ordered a large based on other reviews to size up. I wish I had ordered a medium. The large is too big and I don’t like the way it looks. It’s oversized and sloppy. Secondly, it’s very cheap looking and feeling. Mine had several loose or completely torn threads. The outer shell looks of cheap fabric and feels like a cheap canvas. The inside of the coat feels of lovely fleece. Even the pockets have a fleece lining, which is nice. I wouldn’t care about any of that if it were warm. I’m think a lot of people reviewing this likely live in areas where winter temps are at least high 30s maybe even in the 40’s. So if you live in an area like that, I would absolutely recommend but would advise to order true to size, don’t size up and understand this isn’t exactly fashionable looking. However, if you live in areas where winter temps are routinely in the teens and occasionally in the single digit like me, this isn’t going to be warm enough. Even in low 30’s, I don’t think it’s warm enough. I picked my kids up from school in it for a few days when temps were in high 20’s, low 30’s and I was very cold waiting outside for 15 to 20 mins. I also wore it when going out to eat with friends when temps were in the low 20’s and we stood outside and talked while waiting on our table and I was very cold. I had to ask them to go wait inside. I have some older winter coats so I’m no longer even trying to wear this. I did go ahead and splurge to buy a name brand winter coat with down fill so I’ll wear my older coats until that arrives. Since it’s already January, I’d hoped I could use this and wait until at least next winter to buy an expensive coat, but this won’t keep me warm through the winter. I’m going to put it up and maybe try again in the spring when it’s warmer. ... show more
