This is such a cute and unique jacket! I was hesitant because there were no reviews but took a chance and am happy I did! The fit runs a little large, I ordered a small and it was still a little large in the bust even after tightening the laces in the back. For reference, I am 5'5" 118lb measurements 34-25-38. In the pictures, I have the laces tightened pulling the jacket in about an inch on both sides. Again, even with it tightened in the waist, the bust was a little bit big but for anyone larger than me in the bust or upper body it would fit great. I am a 32B and am very slim. I love the style, with the skirted flared bottom thats cut with a high-low hem. When you walk, the back of the coat short of cascades behind you. It looks really cool in my opinion. The best part is, with the laces in the back you can customize the fit around your waist. The quality of the material isn't the absolute best, it is pretty thin and completely unlined but for a spring or fall jacket it can work. The material is definitely thinner than expected. Quality to price seemed appropriate. I would say if you’re a medium, get a small. If you’re a large, get a medium. I ordered a small and I am a small... you can see from my photo how much I had to tighten it. It makes the front super bag on your bust having to tighten it that much, and I’m pretty busty. I am 5'6" and 175lb, a 14 pant & Large top (38C). I am curvy & have a bum....I found this to fit very well in the XL, many reviews said sizing up made the bust area baggy, but I did not find this to be the case. I also felt this was very well made for the cost. It is a light weight material, but not 'costume weight' - it has a bit more quality to the fabric. With a good pressing, this would look very smart as a period-coat/top. The color was off for my intended use - the purple is definitely a deep plum. I felt the cut & style were very flattering on my curvy figure, while covering the bum nicely & not making it look 'larger' and the one-button front accentuated the 'hourglass' figure as intended. The collar is beautiful and very well sewn, a super nice touch for a 'victorian' or 'steampunk' style outfit - or even as a top-coat for a downton abbey style dress. ... show more

I'm 5'3" approx 140 lbs with a large-ish chest. I ordered a large originally and painlessly returned it for a medium. Though the medium is the correct size, it's not the greatest for curvy ladies. It flares out at my chest and there are also folds between my chest and my shoulders. If I stand up stark straight and roll my shoulders way back it un-wrinkles, but that's an unreasonable posture. The back has laces which make it easier to tailor the fit, but the flare-out at the hips isn't the most flattering for my woman-sized hips. I think this would look lovely on someone with a less feminine figure and would probably make them look more curvey. I'm going to have to find an appropriate a-line skirt to wear under it to tone it down and let it blend in. I love the photo but my expectations were low. This is why I can't buy clothes online. Medium quality, not badly made - about on point with the price. The fabric is light. I'd say "cheap" but light fabric has its place, especially in warmer climates. It feels like a heavier fabric might be necessary for this type of rigid look, though. I haven't washed it yet, but I suspect the pleated collar is going to be a nightmare. ... show more

Started with a L but it did not fit around my chest (Size 38D). I normally wear xL shirts to fit my chest but sized down based on other reviews. Got an XL replacement and while it’s still a bit snug through the back and shoulders, it fits much more nicely through the chest. If you’re having issues with the fit, as I initially did with the XL, check the strings in the back. I originally rated 1-star because the XL felt smaller than the L before I realized the corset strings weren’t lined up properly along the backside. The packaging was different for the XL than the original L, so I think this was a return from someone else and the strings got messed up. This ended up being perfect for my costume. Paired with a tulle skirt and nice long sleeved shirt, it’s just what I needed. Definitely avoid letting it lay flat if you’ve got curvy hips - it’s not flattering at all. LOVE this jacket. Perfect for the Steam Punk themed ball we attended. Love the victorian style it added. I ordered a small and it fit great. Adjustable with the tie in the back as well. I’m 5’ 2” and 130lb for reference.

This jacket is perfection. The fabric is light and has some stretch to it. I also love the corset lacing I’m the back. I got so many compliments on it as a Mad Hatter. it’s definitely a statement piece, I plan to wear it out on date night also.
