I thought this coat was great. Has some really great nifty little things such as a zip cord on the bottom to really tie it and keep overheated if you want to use it as a really great hood it’s really stylish my problem was it just kept leaking feathers should not leak feathers to this volume.

Helly Hansen's quality has always been great. However recently, depending on piece, sizing is really off. I have many pieces from this label. Fairly consistent where medium is comfortable and not snug. Recently ordered fleece jackets to replace my old ones and the medium fit like S or XS. This down coat is really nice but this piece in medium fits like a large. Going forward, very confused on what size to order in their product lines. ... show more

    • Almost perfect - feathers and zipper

I love this coat! I got a large (I’m 5’7”, 168 lbs, build: wider at shoulders, shorter torso, athletic legs) and I have enough room for layers, but don’t usually need it because this coat is so warm! I love the length and how puffy it actually is- whereas with other “puffy” coats I’ve tried have felt thin. I would’ve given this 5 stars except that some of the feathers have started coming out (when I wore a black sweater I could see them on my sweater). I was hoping this coat was like the other HH coats (my husband has the men’s version of the adore puffy parka) that have a tougher (tighter woven?) fabric which seems to prevent the feathers from coming out but will report back after more wear to see if it loses a lot of feathers. Additionally the zipper sometimes is difficult to zip. It has to be in a specific angle for me to be able zip all of the way up. ... show more

I lllove the shape, the warmth, the quality of this coat !! Only if the zipper was as nice .. it takes me some effort and extreme patience to zip it up
