This iron works well. I have medium to long hair and I am able to curl my hair with no issues. The iron is light weight and heats up quickly . The curl hold all day. Overall I am very pleased with this iron. My one comment would be, the cord itself is a little short.

I’ve been using this for few months straight. I have long straight Asian hair usually never holds the curl. But this things works great and the curl lasts. I tried the 1.25 inch but it doesn’t work and curl works. The 1 inch works perfect, the curl started off with curlier and got into a beach wave style by the end of the day. I love to use it. It’s easy to use and can’t beat the price on this one. And yes, there’s time that I accidentally changed the level of heat by accident, it’s a little annoying but it’s nothing you can’t work with. This is a great no frills basic curling iron which is what I wanted. It heats up fast and easy to use. The only issue I’ve had is there’s not much plastic on the end (compared to others I’ve used) that covers the hot iron so you have to be careful and not burn yourself like I did. I bought this unit 3 months ago. At the 2.5 month mark, the plastic handle broke off, exposing fingers to hot metal. I contacted Conair Customer Service, and they told me to cut the cord in half, send them a pic, and in 10 business days they would send a replacement model. What am I supposed to do without a curling iron for 2 weeks!?! Go to work looking like I just woke up and ran a pine cone thru my hair? Does Conair want me to get fired?! Poor customer service aside, this unit is priced under $20 for a reason. There are multiple ways to burn your fingers, your ears, the side of your face with this hot rod of molten metal. Product design is an afterthought - there is no end cap so if you place your opposing hand on the end of the barrel you are likely to meet sizzling metal instead of an insulated covering, and every time you pick up the unit, your fingers graze the heat dial and change your settings. And while I appreciate a long cord, this one catches on everything from vanity draw knobs to electric toothbrush holders. So you have a difficult choice - spend less than $20 and take your chances with broken parts, easy burn points, poor design and questionable customer service - or spend $20+ and get a real curling iron with a more thoughtful design and a modicum of quality control. ... show more

This is the 3rd curling iron I’ve bought in two weeks. The first one was heavy, clunky, unbalanced, awkward. The next was apparently the wrong size because it would not hold on to my hair.
