I’ve been searching for a good pillow for a while. I’m a side and back sleeper and most memory foam pillows are too firm and give me headaches. I’ve been using the Purple Cloud pillow for a few years and it has been great but it eventually went too flat to be supportive. So I thought I’d try the Double Cloud. At first it was too high, but it settled after the first couple of nights and is now, after a few weeks, a very soft, comfy pillow. I like the place to put my hand in between the layers and it is supportive yet still soft enough to avoid headaches. I’ll stick with Purple pillows from now on. Update: it’s been well over a year and this pillow has been the best! It’s still fluffy and I haven’t been bothered with headaches or neckaches since I’ve been using it. Eventually I know it will break down, so I’ll just buy another. My search for the perfect pillow is officially o er! ... show more

This pillow broke down within the first couple of weeks. It is very uncomfortable. And the quality is awful. At first I thought it was going to be a great pillow because the money that I spend on it. I was really looking forward to having a good pillow and I had always heard things about the company purple. The shape of the pillow does not make any sense as when you unzip it you can no longer have a pillowcase on it. Therefore the adjustability of it does not work. This pillow was 5 stars for 6 months. Daily fluffing, satin pillowcases, white glove treatment for this pillowcases. Still. STILL! Still it betrayed me, with a complete separation of stuffing in the center of the pillow, and lumps everywhere else. This ain't a cheap pillow. It's an expensive ass pillow. If this pillow was a car, it would be a Range Rover - super expensive brand new, but loses resale value quickly. In this case there is no resale value, but it's hot trash. Terrible analogy, tbh, but you get the drift.... and I'm kinda sad about it too. I'd still buy another, because those first months were the best sleep of my life just like I'd buy a second Land Rover. But I've actually never had the Rover ... show more

Not as firm as I was hoping and you do still have to fluff it at night before going to bed. But it slid into my pillowcase easily and my neck pain is much better. I had my old my pillow for about 10 years and it finally was time to replace it. I only bought one to see if it was worth the hefty cost, so far it is. It sleeps hotter than my previous pillow, but it’s not too bad. The softer side is very soft and would be great for those that are back or stomach sleepers. I’m exclusively a side sleeper and it adjusts well on the firm side. The zipper is difficult to pull, but once it’s zipped it’s fine. I bought the king size and the sizing is consistent with other pillows. It seems to be well made overall and worth the money. UPDATE: After using this pillow for a couple of weeks, it’s as flat as my previous pillows. It also sleeps VERY hot and seems to trap heat. My AC is programmed to raise the temp a couple of degrees when everyone is at work, and lower it before we get home. This pillow seems to retain the extra heat and doesn’t adjust. Even after being in the same cooler temp over the weekend for a couple of days. Back to the drawing board looking for a new pillow! ... show more
