Set up wasn’t bad, took about 5 hours with 2 people. Curtains are nice and seem heavy duty. Roof system is nice so we can open up for sun and cover during hot days. Can’t speak longevity yet as it’s only been up a month but seems durable.

This pergola takes 3 to 4 people to put together and does take some time, but is well worth it. I love the levers that they are adjustable so that you can have sun, shade,or partial sun and shade. I only wish that you could purchase shades that would roll down to prevent son from coming in through the sides. Otherwise it is a great pergola. Did you get besides that nothing can find anything I was thinking you’re gonna come something delicious I was like oh I’m gonna want it.

This is a high quality unit unfortunately it had shipping damage that customer support was slow to correct. They did eventually send the needed replacement parts and adjusted the price for repairing the parts that could be repaired. The only improvement I can think of is better packaging and quicker replacement of damaged parts. I am very pleased with the end results.

Amazon contacted me to schedule a delivery day and time because a signature is required. This pergola was packed extremely well. The manufacturer also contacted me several times through Amazon and once by phone to ensure that I had recieved the pergola, the lounge chair, and that I had contact a number and an email address for support should I need it. I should also mention that the lounge chair was free through a promotion at the time. Assembly wasn't too bad and I have a few tips. The instructions say not to tighten the bolts until fully assembled. This is not possible because there are bolts inside the corner posts which will be inaccessible when fully assembled. I also suggest starting those bolts first because they are harder to line up. I decided to tighten the bolts inside the corner posts, and the top bolts on all the cross bars, before I put the top covers/louvers on the ends of each side. You'll have a really hard time getting tools on those bolts if you dont. Other than that assembly was pretty easy. Not sure how often this happens, but I did have one weld snap while bolting one of the last pieces on. I fixed this with a 3/4" angle bracket (lines up perfectly), a self tapping metal screw, and an M6 1.0mm flange nut. You'll need to enlarge the hole on the side of the bracket the bolt goes through. I used a 15/64 drill bit. I'm sure Purple Leaf would have sent a replacement piece, but that would have required quite a bit of disassembly and it's not really in a noticeable location. Overall, we are extremely happy with the purchase. If you are looking for a louvered pergola I do recommend this one. Edit: We just had our first hard rain with the louvers closed. Everything under the pergola is dry. The back of the cushions around the edge were probably from the rain blowing through the screen. The louvers and gutter system are great!

I love this pergola. It was actually much easier to put together than I thought it would be and looks great. I have had many friends compliment it -- even some stubborn ones have said "well designed" and "worth it". I will say one thing: When you order this, it will come in three boxes and all items are marked to match the instructions. - 1/3: All other parts/pieces, screws, instructions - 2/3: 4 legs - 3/3: All lourvers for the roof Make sure you have all three. I received two 2/3s and had to wait for the 1/3 to come in. The folks at PurpleLeaf were great; engaged and making sure I knew what was going on at all times. When you put the curtains/screens on, make sure you have the right ones going in the correct corners. Remember, the back will be taller than the front. Took a couple of tries, but got it. They both work great - opens and closes very easily. I had a neighbor help me put it together and it took about 2 1/2 hours. I would definitelyrecommend a ladder and if you have an allen screwdriver or drill with the bit, you will want that available in addtion to what's provided. Total 5 out 5 here. Couldn't be happier.

We received the product and unpacked it for assembly. We found the instructions to be easy to follow. It took us a full day and a half but it was just myself and my husband working on it. The boxes are very heavy so I would recommend having it delivered to your garage or a space that you can open to sort the materials and/or move them to the location that you will be assembling the pergola. We have never taken on an assembly project this large, but with patience and attention to the instructions, we assembled without too much trouble. Go slow, read everything.... twice. It really was not that difficult for two people to manage. The quality of the pergola is very good. I live in Florida and the pergola has already gone through hot summer and wet chilly winter. I see no corrosion or deterioration yet. (Trust me, most lawn furniture doesn't make it a season in my climate without some deterioration.) It's sturdy and the curtains and netting are great for protecting whatever is stored in the pergola. This brings me to my customer service experience. Because I believe that the Pergola will outlast the curtains and netting due to the weather conditions, I wanted to order extras to have on hand. I was concerned if I waited too long, they would no longer be producing the set that goes to this model . When I didn't see an option online, I contacted the company to inquire. They were very helpful and followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Absolutely outstanding experience. Great company, great product.
