We were looking into purchasing a pergola for months. When we finally finished renovating our yard and determined the size we wanted, there were very few options and went with this Purple Leaf pergola, 11.5' x 23.5'. Once it was ordered, it was shipped promptly. However, the carrier misrouted it 2x! Instead of getting it in 1 week, it took 3. However, the Purple Leaf team was in constant communication with us and kept us updated and provided us a discount for the troubles. After inspecting the packages, unfortunately, of the boxes was pretty banged up. It was one of the boxes of louvers and about 6 of the louvers were bent. We reached out to Purple Leaf about this and they had asked us to take pictures and to let them know of all the issues. At this point, I decided to go ahead and put it together and just document any issues along the way. Turns out, the damages we 6 louvers and a scratched section on the top. Purple Leaf again took care of the situation by sending us more than enough replacement louvers and touch up paint. Be prepared, its 8 boxes and a total of around 800lbs. As long as you are used to building things, its a pretty simple and easy project. It took my dad and I about 4 hours to put together. As for a review of my purchase, I will confirm that the louvers do indeed block out all rain from coming through when they are closed. I do feel that it is a little top-heavy, so if you live in a windy area, I would definitely recommend bolting it down. Other than that, definitely a great buy! Although it took 3 weeks to receive, I really didn't really worry as Purple Leaf addressed all my concerns, offered to send another and were very prompt in responding to my messages. ... show more

We love the pergola, exactly what we wanted. Looks great, sturdy and it completes our back yard. It also give our backyard the neccessary shade we need for the summer time. The louvers are a great feature, open and close your option. It did take a while to get the nuts and bolts, they were missing from everything else we got. This Pergola is great and customer service was great too, I never really needed anything but they were always reaching out and very responsive. As you can see, I did end up modifying it a bit in order to attach it to my house. I had custom pillars made out of PVC in order to make it taller and be able to clear my sliding door and kitchen window, Also l each corner is left open and without the back posts we were left with unfinished/opened corners so I had a PVC board installed on the house around the back beam (which was drilled and anchored into the house's wall studs) this filled in that gap nicely and looks sharp with my corner boards which are also PVC. If I were to make any changes or suggestions to the manufacturer, it would be to make the posts taller (which can be cut shorter if anyone ever needed) and to supply 2 trim pieces for the back corners for people looking to attach to their home, like I did. Not deducting anything from my overall rating as I got what I ordered, but it would have been nice to have it taller from the factory at the very least. This pergola is also easy to "open" and "close" and is water tight when closed. We've had some heavy rain and stayed dry underneath. The built in gutter system is remarkable. ... show more

We searched for weeks to find a pergola or gazebo for the patio near our pool. A custom size would have fit better but the prices were just too high. We ordered the 11.5x23.6 louvered pergola on Amazon. Shipping was quick- less than 10 days from order to receipt. The seller gave plenty of updates on shipping. 8 boxes arrived in good shape. We watched a few videos to get ready for installation. I suggest you do the same to prepare. You’ll need to buy clear silicone caulk and concrete fasteners. 3 of us got the project started then we had 2 more help us with the final placement and louver installation. End to end it was almost 4 hours to install it. Now that it’s up we love it. ... show more

The pergola is beautiful and added such a wonderful touch as we built a front porch patio with a seating area. Most think that a pergola is for the backyard but it can also transform your front yard and an additional seating/gathering area. It arrived on time and in excellent condition. Finally, a product that is affordable and worry free. We have not been using our deck during summer for a while, as it always gets scorching hot. Umbrellas never worked, due to wing and angle of the sun. Now we spend all hours of the day and even during light rain on our deck under this pergola. It took two contractors to assemble and attach it to our deck. Some of the items were scratched and bend, the customer service took care of all of our issues right away. Great service and great product. Hope it can withstand our winters In Pennsylvania. We will be purchasing another pergola but smaller to add to our pool, to replace multiple umbrellas. ... show more
