We recently installed the 12×20 Purple Leaf hardtop gazebo, and the entire experience has been outstanding. Every part was included, clearly labeled, and in perfect condition. My husband and I were able to build this together over about 6 hours. The instructions were great. The color is beautiful. We got the 12x24 and added 2 fans. It's beautiful and sturdy. Some parts arrived damaged and the customer service to replace those parts was great.

This is a high quality, well engineered gazebo. All the parts were well labeled and fit perfectly where they were supposed to go. We did have one roof panel (X3) that was a little too long but that could have been because one of my piers wasn't quite level. Also a few of the roof panels have small dents from shipping damage so make sure the boxes (6 in all for our 12x14) aren't damaged when you get them. Finally, and most importantly, the advertised dimensions DO NOT match the installed dimensions. Our "12x14" gazebo only measures 158.75" x 134.25" outside post to outside post. Still, we are satisfied with our purchase as it is very sturdy and looks great.

So, we’ve been wanting to add a place in the new birdcage where grilling and such things can take place out of the rain and sun. Having thought about many options, we decided on this great 12x10 gazebo from Purple Leaf. It is great looking and took two of us (my cousin and myself) about 12 hours to install over two days (about 4 hours unpacking and inventory and about 8 hours of labor). Both my cousin and myself are mechanically inclined with lots of experience building and assembling items. I have bought and installed/built many things over the years, and this was a superbly put together kit of high quality parts and pieces with almost perfect instructions (we did find a couple of flaw’s in the instructions). I bought this one from Amazon and it arrived in 5 days via FedEx in four packages weighing about 400 pounds totally. I picked this model because of teak look powder coating over the aluminum framework. It’s perfect for us! The only issue that we had was in the design and shipping of the packaging. 3 of the 4 packages arrived in good shape, but the 4th package (and the most dense weight wise) was the roof panels (see picture below). The box arrived damaged (FedEx was the delivery company), but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have left the company like that. Personally, I thought that the FedEx delivery driver in too big of a hurry to get these off his vehicle (the delivery had originally supposed to arrive the day before). Luckily, all the roof panels were intact and in pretty good shape. It was strange that we found a couple of different pieces in the other boxes that were bent (but easily repairable) with no apparent damage to the boxes. The last item I will mention is there hardware (nuts and bolts) packing. Some of the other videos I had watched on the Purple Leaf Gazeboes looked to have the hardware attached to cardboard with vacuum sealing around the parts. The hardware package in our kit was in a plastic box with dividers, but it didn't hold up to well in shipping with all the other parts, the plastic box was broken when it arrived. All the parts were in separate plastic bags and well marked. I inventoried all the pieces and put them in our own containers, nothing was missing except for the tube of silicone that was required to be used on the some rivets to ensure waterproofing. Never found the silicone, so we had to purchase it separately. One thing to mention, this gazebo came with insect netting for installation, but we did not need it for our install as this assembly is inside our birdcage. Overall, very pleased with this Purple Leaf Gazebo!

The instruction is good and easy to install. There some missing labels and screws for the bags of screws. One of the F panel that holds 2 long D and E poles, ripped in half like butter. Just becareful when setting up the gazebo, suggest to do it at least 2 people when moving long poles around, as it might rip the metal in half like my case. Overall, its a nice Gazebo, but the material is still iffy. This gazebo is not cheap, for this kind of bad materials.

We received the gazebo about a week after ordering it. It came in 5 boxes. The company did send an email letting us know it was coming and how many boxes we could expect. Once it arrived, we went through every box and inventoried the contents. Nothing was bent, everything was there. We then grouped all of the screws and parts into individual plastic containers. I put a piece of tape on top of each container and marked with a sharpie what was in it; ex: #7 screws, #S, etc. This made it so much easier once we started to put it together. My husband (72) and myself (65) put it together. It took about 22 hours over 4 days from the first inventory to anchoring it onto the deck. We didn't rush it, just worked on it in groups of time. Hubby put the posts together in the garage (it was raining that day) and there was only one hiccup. One of the screws wouldn't fit into the hole as the hole had been drilled about 1/8 inch off. He redrilled it. The next day, we took the posts out to the deck and using ladders, we were able to connect it. Putting the very top tier on was a bit tricky, but I stood on the second to top rung of the ladder in the middle, and held it up while he connected and screwed it to the sides. We knew the roof would be a long day and it was. I was on the inside ladder under the roof, he was on the outside one. It wasn't hard, just a lot of parts and screws, and lining up everything. The Z clips would fall off if you didn't wiggle it in perfectly on the first try, so off the ladder one of us would go and re-connect. But all the screws and holes lined up just fine, do remember not to tighten anything until it's all done, especially the middle beam. We found that when putting the first middle pieces on, it helped to hold the first piece in with a #5, then put the second piece on top. Otherwise the two middle pieces would slide around when trying to overlap. Once done, hubby went under our deck and put up thick pieces of wood between the joists for extra support. He then used 3 inch lag screws to anchor it to the deck. Hopefully it will stand up to the winter winds we get up here. We'll see. We do have a lot of trees in our yard, and after watching a few videos regarding the gutters getting clogged and having to use a screwdriver to remove the debris, I decided to run screening along the top. I purchased 2-inch sticky screen repair (it comes in rolls) and ran that all along the top where the roof meets the gutter. Water can still get in, but the leaves and other debris won't. As you can see from the photos, pollen from the trees is already starting to get on the roof. All in all, it seems like a well built gazebo. The netting is very nice, the roof seems sturdy. We're very pleased with it.

The quality is great. The look is amazing top notch. Looks very expensive. Assembly is definitely not easy . We are first time gazebo buyers … So many pieces overwhelming. Took 2 people 24 hours total putting this together because it’s already really hot here. Instruction / pictures could be better. You will need all parts and pieces. Very solid . Now we have to figure out how to cool down when sitting under gazebo it’s pretty hot .

I rarely write reviews but in the case of had to give credit to a great product. I was in Carpenters Union for 33 years and did large architectural metal jobs . I frankly was surprised at the quality of this product. From the packaging to the great instructions. Blowups of details that really anyone from any skill level could understand. The hardware kit came with an organizer that was great to separate all the screws that come with it. I laid everything out on the lawn and prior to installing and it was so simple that about 10 hours later it was done . Everything is VERY well thought out and I was shocked at the quality of the materials and the simplicity of the installation. There were times I grabbed my 15 year old son to help me particularly the framing of the roof . The roof panels were super easy and the netting that came with it was SUPER heavy duty should last for many years . When done and you step back and look at your new gazebo you will be amazed. And while I was building Purple leaf would check in and ask if I had any questions . Simply best product I have ever bought on Amazon. Now I’m looking to see what other products they sale .
