My wife and I are very happy with our Purple Leaf Gazebo. It looks elegant, well-made and is very easy to move it around for a preferred placement. It also feels very sturdy due to its design and construction. Overall it wasn’t too difficult to put together for me and my wife who helped me with the construction process. We are both handy and over 6 ft, but it would’ve been probably easier if we had an additional tall person helping during the construction of the initial struts of the roof. Also, there are times when one has to figure out how certain parts need to fit together, how far the screws need to be initially tightened in certain places, what goes on first and next, etc. etc. The instruction booklet that comes with the product is simple and the information in it is high-level, probably intentionally kept that way to prevent detail overload and confusion since there are many parts and screws to talk about. For us, the information in it was just enough to be able to quickly read and construct. One thing to mention are the plastic clips, which go on the angled edges of the aluminum roofing panels. They were somewhat of a challenge to keep in place, as they kept falling off easily and dropping through the separations between our deck’s planks. But we were able to quickly remedy that issue by using some clear tape to hold them in place which helped a lot when pushing those panels into their slots. And have no worries about using the clear tapes, because they get tucked into the slots and are no longer visible. Overtime they will probably come off or dissolve and breakaway. The plastic clips should stay in place because once they are tucked into their slots, they are there to stay whether or not the clear tape is holding them anymore. Overall, we only came across two holes that didn’t line up perfectly for screws to go in, but we used a drill to make the holes slightly wider to resolve that issue. And so, a few minor imperfections weren't a problem for us. We are very happy with the outcome, it looks great on our deck and I think it will stand the test of time going forward as well. We will most likely purchase another one to go on our hardscaped area in our backyard, as we put this one on our deck. In short, it’s a well-designed and sturdy product and we weren’t disappointed at all. Last but not least, AWESOME Customer Support! They made sure we received the boxes in a timely manner by staying in touch with us and sent construction videos. They left their phone numbers with us in case we had any questions or run into issues. And then, they consistently checked in with us to see if we had any further questions, when we start building and if we are missing parts, etc. ... show more

Let me start off by saying that the seller had amazing communication with us. It’s a very beautiful gazebo. Heavy duty curtains and screens!! This gazebo comes in five large / heavy boxes. One box came ripped open and leaking contents. Seller reshipped the damaged box to me. ( again amazing communication) Took my contractor 2 days, one about 8 hrs snd the second day was about 5 hours. If you have 3 people work on this you can probably get it done quicker. Directions are lacking as it’s mostly photos. Be sure to read through reviews here on Amazon and as there is a lot of great useful tips from others. It took a little longer to set this up as it was put up on a raised deck. Has been lag bolted using stainless steel lags, to the wood decking. Curtains were just put up today. Be sure to line up leg holes to screening before attaching the curtains. Your thumbs will appreciate you not having to remove and reattach screens/curtains. I am very happy with my 11x13 purple leaf gazebo. I did suggest to the seller extras tapping around the boxes to prevent them from falling apart. There is extra hardware provided and a very nice plastic sorting case. You will need power screw gun for this job and roof requires st least two people. For those that say they did it by themselves, my hats off to you because I had to pitch in snd hand hardware up to the guys on the ladder! Simply the best gazebo for DIY assembly

Let me start by saying that I never write reviews, however this Gazebo so impressed me that I felt compelled to write a review. First, lets with packaging.....the six delivered boxes, were in good shape and when I opened them I found everything to be labeled and neatly packaged with padding throughout so pieces would not be damaged in shipping. Thumbs up on this....the best packaging I've ever seen. Second, the instructions were great. Now, I am a 70yo guy and built the gazebo myself, so I did have to get creative with some of the assembly instruction, but was able to build the entire 10'X14' gazebo myself. Third, quality is outstanding with no scraped powder coat and only one bag of parts being mislabeled, but that was an easy spot. Forth, assembly was well thought out and went together without a hitch. Oh, one hint, when the assembly instructions say to leave some bolts loose, leave them very loose, not just a thread or two. It will help with aligning some angled pieces and the dreaded "R" brackets. I anchored the gazebo to a deck I just built and it seems to be very sturdy and should be able to withstand high winds. This gazebo is slightly more expensive than cheap competitors, but believe me its well worth the few extra bucks as you will not be sorry. I can't express in words how great this product is and how happy I am with my purchase. If you are considering a gazebo, I highly recommend the Purple Leaf brand. ... show more

Nice Product

I am a professional handyman. I built this gazebo on a raised deck all by myself. Had the wife help tighten a few screws that I couldn't reach myself. For the most part, everything fit together as it should have. A few places had a little difficulty lining things up, but I got them. I did have a couple items that had manufacturing defects. Two of the posts had tabs that were welded on crooked. No way to bend them back without breaking them off, so I enlarged the holes and screwed the beams on to them. Still plenty of strength as there are more screws holding these parts together. They offered some kind of discount or the replace the posts but I did not want to wait for new ones to arrive. Made it work and I'm happy. I followed a YouTube video's advice and separated/organized all the parts. Used little plastic containers for fasteners (labeling them) which really made it easy to use the right ones. This thing went together pretty easy even though the directions were a little vague at times. Pretty easy to figure out once I started in on it. This product seems to have a very good finish. Very durable and it was packaged so there was no damage in shipping. It came with a couple extra fasteners, but try not to lose any - I ended up having the exact amount of the #1 screws as I had a couple defective ones. If I came up short I would have had to go looking for another. I would recommend this gazebo to anybody who has a little mechanical aptitude and can follow directions. Two people would make it easier to assemble, but it can be done solo. I think it took me around twelve hours (didn't really keep track) to do the actual assembly. I spent a few more hours laying out where it would go and getting electric wired into it. I am adding lights, outlets, and a fan to it. ... show more

Money well spent!

This is a very well designed gazebo very well durable strong screens and curtains.. it’s been raining here for days and the roof and gutter system has kept my furniture dry. Definitely recommend! Also probably want Two tall guys to assemble, me and my husband got it done but I wasn’t much help because I’m 5’3”. We used a 7 foot ladder and a small 4 foot ladder, we probably could have used a 10 foot ladder to make a few things easier, he is over 6 ft and struggled to reach just a few things. But it was definitely worth it… also we got the 13by15 and it came in 7 boxes that were clearly labeled the number of the boxes, we were missing box 6 and 7, but we messaged Amazon and got them in a few days. ... show more

REVIEW - Purple Leaf 10X12 Gaezbo

We purchased the 10x12 ft unit. Delivery of the multiple boxes was very timely and no damage to contents and boxes. All assembly parts were professionally packed. Assembly was extremely easy and completed in approximately twelve hours by myself and twenty minutes of assistance by a family member to assist in the first four roof structure pieces. The built in rain gutter is a definite plus. I applied two coats of a liquid car polish to the flow surface of the gutters. The only problem I encountered was the installation of the bird stop netting(referred to as bug stop in the assembly manual). We are very pleased with the gaezbo and recommend purchase without concern. We purchased an after market twenty inch reversible fan with remote and also operates through an APP on the cell phone. These past few 100+ degree days locally we used the reverse direction(updraft) on the fan to lift the reflective heat of the metal roof exhausting it up through the bird stop netting. We looked at a lot of different systems, we decided to spend a few extra dollars on this one. It was worth every penny. I chose to build and assemble this myself. There are no regrets. I'll give the instructions a 6.5 out of 10 for accuracy, as a little bit was left to the imagination along the way. Overall this seems to be a very well-built and sturdy product that we should enjoy for many years to come. No more having to take off the cloth topper on the gazebo every season. ... show more

We received our 12x16 is six different packages on time. The boxes came with no significant damaged and none of our parts had any damage. Every thing was packaged and labeled nicely. The product has a nice Finnish to it and we were impressed with how well it looked. Me and my wife assemble the entire units ourself with no extra help. The main structure and roof we assembled in approx 5 hours. She did have to stand on a 6ft ladder and hold the center roof assembly while I started the bolts and assembled the other few arms that hold the upper roof. We waited until next day to install the finishing touches. The curtains, screens, and then went back and tightened all the bolts we had left loosed during assembly including the roof panel bolts. We centered and square the gazebo and anchor to our concrete patio all together that took about another 1.5 hours. This can easy be assembled in a day with 2 people. We are extremely please with this product. Only thing I don’t really like was I did not use the anchor bolts that came with it. There was no drill bit for these anchors and no clear instructions as to what size hole to drill. The instruction said it was a 1/4” anchor but after drilling a 1/4” hole the anchor did not fit and trying to drive the anchor in it only bent the anchor. So I just used tapcon screws that I already had. I had used them on the fabric top one that this one had replaced and they worked very well. So I decided to just use them on this one. The ties for the curtains aren’t attached on our old one they were so we are worried that these may eventually get lost. Strong wind does blow the curtains open and the Velcro ties don’t seam strong enough to hold. From past experience I just place a small bungee cord around them to secure them anyway. One screen was missing a grommet. We double checked several times and it only has 15 grommets where the other 3 have 16. But I think we can live with it if that is our only issue. We had a 10x12 Lowe’s brand with a fabric top for 6 years and we were pleased with it with the exception of having to replace the top about every 2-3 years. So we are hoping that this one last a long time with no maintenance. If you are looking for a nice gazebo I highly recommend this one. Hopefully this is my last one for many years. ... show more
