This has upgraded the look and function of our deck tremendously! The woodgrain beams look natural and are sturdy and attractive, without the weathering and warping issues wood presents. The retractable sunshade makes our deck usable at most any time of day now and creates a comfortable “outdoor room” at night, too. The only improvement I’d like to see is for the small, narrow canopy over the retractable shade to slope downward more so that it drains off during rainfalls. The current slope is too small, so this cover collects the rain.. The customer service has been phenomenal! We were missing a few small plastic covers for the screw heads and they were mailed to us within a couple of days. When I realized I’d ordered the wrong pieces, they shipped me the correct ones immediately. Very professional and responsive.

I have been looking for an alternative to a sun shade for our deck and came across this pergola but didn’t buy it right away. Then it was updated to add a rain guard that’s when I decided to buy. Now it was a bit of awkwardness to put up but not terrible. Very pleased with how it looks and it seems to be sturdy. Now what I am disappointed with is the feature that sold me, the rain guard. Now it does protect the retractable fabric from filling completely with water but the guard itself fills with water and sags a bit. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and can now enjoy some shade while lounging on the deck.

This pergola looks good and went together well. One small plastic piece was damaged when we took delivery but we got in touch with Customer Service who sent a replacement straight away. Good experience.

Upon unpacking the parts, I immediately noticed the wood coloring on the aluminum frame was two different colors and the discrepancy was very noticeable. While attempting to put the frame together I noticed the delivered parts didn’t match the parts included in the instructions. I reached out to customer service and after 3 days of emailing back and forth I was told the instructions were mislabeled and the shipped parts were correct. This created a new problem because the piece I received had fewer pre-drilled holes and some were in different places than the instructions. This pieces were also supposed to hold a support beam and clips for the shade. Customer service could not provide correct instructions for assembling the frame with the pieces I was provided so a guessing game ensued. The instructions also left out steps required to secure the sunshade to the frame and mislabeled support poles and bolts used to secure the sunshade. This caused more confusion and guessing for the construction. Lastly, some of the support poles for the sunshade had to be assembled and when done so following the instructions were too short to fit the pre-drilled spots for the bolts. In order to attach the shade those support poles had to be loosed to the point of not being 100% secured together. Due to the lack of instructions, incorrect shipped parts, and poor customer service which could not rectify the above concerns, I did not feel safe having this structure above and around my family. I have returned this product and will not make any future purchases from this company.

Customer service refunded me for the curtains. I’ll rate this from 1 to 3 stars, since customer service resolved my issue. Still need to figure out what to do with the curtains. Hopefully the manufacturer can fix their design issue. The reason I wanted this pergola was for the privacy curtain. The curtain was never installed, because the holes to screw them in was only a hole and never designed for the curtains. I tried working with the manufacturer for a replacement beam, but I was told to drill screws myself! My experience and reasons not to buy this pergola: 1. Bad design. Curtains will not be assembled 2. Holes do not match to screw in. Be prepared to use multiple screws after they are forced in. 3. Instructions are not detailed enough. I had to figure out why parts don’t fit and uninstall to reinstall. 4. Cheap aluminum 5. Expect curtains to ship separately from pergola. 6. Missing parts and had to buy at the store. 7. Customer Service sucks 8. Top canopy gets snagged in the middle of the rail and isn’t a smooth open and close

I purchased this product less than one year ago. It looked beautiful and customer service was slow but courteous about sending a part that was damaged in shipping. This product cannot withstand a winter in the northern US. You would definitely have to dismantle it every winter season. Pieces started bending, screws came loose and heavy metal components started falling off. I will say the wood finish and fabric pieces only faded very slightly which was impressive. Needless to say, I was only able to use this for one summer and one fall season. It is now damaged far beyond repair or replacement parts.
