Tried this brand after the sick kitten I adopted had a UTI and I was told by other cat owners that Pretty Litter gave their cats’ paws a severe reaction. He’s been healthy since but I still feel better knowing I can monitor him. The odor control is pretty good as long as you keep up on scooping. It doesn’t clump but it’s very absorbent and I rarely find any moisture at the bottom of the box during scooping and changes. It hasn’t given my guy any reaction in his paws and he took to it very well when we transitioned from regular litter.     • Less litter tracking, and early indicator of health problems!
I am genuinely so impressed with this silica cat litter. It’s incredibly easy to scoop and keep clean, and it does an amazing job at completely eliminating odors, which is such a game changer for the home. I’ve also noticed a huge reduction in litter tracking, so I’m not constantly sweeping up little granules everywhere. One of my favorite features is the color indicator—it gave us an early warning that our older cat might be having some kidney issues, which we wouldn’t have caught so quickly otherwise. Because of that, we were able to switch her to a kidney-supportive diet right away, and it made a noticeable difference in her health. Loveeeee this cat litter! Great odor control, and quality is on point! I call this litter magic! It basically dehydrates the cat turds in the litter box. This is the only litter that I use. It does track a bit as most cat litters do.

    • Keeps the litter box stink in check.
We have 3 cats and two litter boxes that they share. This stuff, while expensive, really keeps the stink in check. We used to use that clumping clay stuff. Leave the house for any amount of time and upon returning, our house would always smell like a goat farm (to me anyways). Now that we're using the Tidy Cats litter, that is not the case. It does turn colors from yellow to blue, but I'm not convinced that really tells you anything meaningful about your cat's health. Also, this stuff is exceedingly dusty when scooping. I let that slide because it works so well to keep the odor down. If it were less dusty, I'd like that. One star off because the package claims it's low dust, when it clearly is not. ... show more

    • This color changing litter works.
The litter is easy to use, and color changes are easy to figure out. I got this because we knew one of the cats was peeing blood, but didn’t know which. Just follow the color code on the side. But note: it turns bright red with the presence of blood in urine. so if you’re looking to see if there is blood in the urine don’t freak out and think your cat just peed all blood. I clumps well. The weight is good. My cats seem to like the texture. I don’t like it so much as it gets around the house and it’s crystal like and kinda annoying but it does the job and that matters more. ... show more

I love using this litter to monitor my cat’s feline urinary tract disease! It has warned me of inflammation episodes before she begins showing any symptoms, which has helped me manage her attacks early, before things get severe! I am on my second bag. This litter DOES create dust when scooped. My bedroom air cleaner right above the litter box lights up with DUST and ODOR response when ever I clean box. You can also see and smell both. ALSO this litter absolutely sticks to the cats paws and tracks throughout the house, despite claims of otherwise. I have to sweep the granules every day on the hard floor and vacuum the carpet all around the cat box every few days. It does last longer than clay litter because it does not clump around urine. The urine is absorbed which does stink when you stir up the litter to level it out between uses. ... show more
