I purchased a Saatva Classic (Plush soft). Saatva makes a great mattress but it's stiff as a board!! After 2 weeks I knew it just wasn't going to work. I thought about buying a topper to try to help. I emailed Sleep On Latex before purchasing because I found out you can get HALF OFF the topper if you buy one of their Mattresses. I was wondering if I could purchase a topper the possibly get a discount on the mattress. Sadly that was not an option. So I decided bite the bullet and buy the mattress. It is AWESOME and HEAVY!! Once I got it set up I knew it would take a while to get used to the feel of latex. I also knew the I would need a topper. So I talked with Customer support. They said buy the topper from amazon and once it processed they would credit 50% once they say the order come through. This took TWO HOURS!!! WOOOOW!!! I was expecting next day or more but in just 2 hours after purchasing the topper the credit was already back in the bank. THE BED: Latex is a new sensation. Shifting positions is EFFORTLESS on latex. I'm a side sleeper and very heavy at 275lbs. I got the medium firm which could be very comfortable for a lighter person but just a little too firm for me. The weird thing about latex is even though it's firm you still get relief on your pressure points. It's sleeps nice and cool. Also mine had no latex odor that people sometimes say. The mattress is VERY HEAVY. I'm an avid weight lifter and had to move this up a flight of stairs solo. If I got a King I'm not sure it would have happened. If you get this bed make sure you have a friend or eat a big breakfast! LOL Latex is also "Floppy" so It can be a little difficult to maneuver but it can be done. Once it was set up, I swear my bedroom just felt cleaner? It's hard to explain, but the all natural Latex with cotton is just a really nice experience. CUSTOMER SERVICE: These guys/gals are just AMAZING!! They're based in the Chicago area and every email I sent (there were many) were answered IN UNDER AND HOUR!!! They are extremely knowledgable and patient They answered every silly and hypothetical question I had!! Just a great experience!! Can not say enough good things about these folks!! Conclusion: The bed is GREAT! If you need to make it less firm...get a TOPPER! They will offer a discount on a topper after the purchase of the mattress. I got the 3" soft and it is AWESOME!! I'm even considering adding another 2 inches. That's another great thing about latex you can basically build your own mattress till it's exactly what you want! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

My package was shipped quickly by FedEx, however, they dumped my package at the community gate, which took me an hour to move it to my house. I also had to hire workers to move it upstairs because it’s extremely heavy to carry it by myself. When I initially contacted Sleep on Latex customer services, I let them know about the delivery issue with FedEx, I was furious at the time and I couldn’t believe that FedEx dumped my package like that. I also didn’t feel my concern was valued. However, the customer representative did email me after I posted my initial review with my concerns. I really appreciated their responses, which made me feel my voice mattered and at the same time felt sorry to post a such negative review initially. They explained to me why they could not offer white glove services. They also let me know they reported my case to FedEx on their end, and I am glad they did, because FedEx didn’t seem to care about my complaint at all. Regardless, the mattress is much heavier than I expected and therefore I wouldn’t recommend attempting to move or open the package without help. If you are a small person like me, you will definitely need a helper to unpack the package. The mattress was firmer than I expected seriously, though I was looking for a firmer mattress based on my chiropractor's and doctor’s recommendation. I have slept on this new mattress for a few days, still feel it’s a bit too firm to me at this time. I do notice that my body wouldn’t “sink” like when I was on my memory foam mattress (which did not enough lumbar support). Customer services did let me know it won’t break in, and most likely it will stay the way it is; they also offered 50% discount on toppers to help with my concern about the firmness of the mattress, so I took the opportunity to get a soft topper. Anyhow, if you are a person who is looking for a firmer mattress, this is the mattress to go as the mattress would NOT soften over time per customer services. 0 star for FedEx, and 5 star for Sleep on Latex. ========== Update - after more than 3 weeks on the mattress I received my 1-inch soft Latex topper, which is helpful with the appropriate firmness needed for my sleep. I am a back sleeper mainly, do toss and turn at times, and I can tell my back and lumbar with good support with this mattress. I have been able to sleep well, at least 7 hours daily for the past few weeks, confirmed by my Apple watch. Stilll 0 star for FedEx as they dumped my topper package again at the community gate, luckily, the topper package was much lighter than the mattress.

Very comfortable mattress for adjustable bed. It is extremely heavy. I could push the box into my house and into the bedroom ( no stairs, thankfully). The box is difficult to open. I was afraid to use a knife because it would rip the mattress. I worked on it slowly and carefully, dissecting the cardboard. Then the mattress is rolled in many layers of heavy paper. How do you unroll a large very heavy mattress in a small space? Again, I used the knife like a scalpel to very carefully cut through layer after layer of paper. Once it was unrolled, it was too heavy and unwieldly to lift onto the bed. It IS latex and rubbery! There are no straps or handles in the cover. I called a friend to help me and we got it on the bed.
