    • Great for day-to-day usage! Note: It is intended to quickly steam one shirt/pants, not your whole wardrobe.

After reading the instruction manual, which was relatively straightforward, I began using the product. I filled the reservoir up to the max line, locked the device, plugged it in, and turned it on. Very quickly, after a minute or two, steam began emitting out of the nozzle and I began the steaming process. Accustomed to ironing, and NOT to steaming clothes on a hanger, it was awkward to position the steamer accordingly to run it smoothly down my dress shirt. Unconsciously as well, I tilted the device beyond 45 degrees and true to the instruction manual, hot, scolding water did spill out fortunately onto the shirt and not my skin. Cautious now, I held the shirt taut from the bottom and properly steamed the shirt (holding the device vertically). It took some time (several minutes) to learn the nooks and cranny of it Afterwards, steaming became relatively easy. Steaming the sleeves can be difficult since the shirt was on a hanger. I recommend PureSteam to perhaps include a a backboard that is heat-resistant, handheld, and small enough to maneuver in a shirt/pants. I am afraid of steaming against a wall since it may overheat the paint, which is possibly toxic to inhale and will damage your shirt. I am slightly disappointed in the fact that the steamer doesn't entirely gets rid of the wrinkles. The appearance of the surface of the dress shirt doesn't look as smooth if it were to be ironed. HOWEVER, as a portable device and using it for the first time, it does work wonderfully. For special, special occasions, I would definitely recommend using the traditional iron. For everyday usage where you need to look clean and presentable, this steamer is definitely a great product. Note, this steamer is also not intended to steam your entire wardrobe. The water reservoir evaporated at a relatively quick rate. Just enough for you to finish steaming one shirt. Time duration is around approximately 5 to 6 minutes. Once again, good enough to quickly remove the wrinkles from the outfit you will be wearing that day. That is what it was intended for. Overall, very satisfied with my first time usage! I like this steamer a lot. It's compact and it's easy to travel with. The problem with travel size stuff is that it is usually small. Specifically with this item, the water container is small. So do not expect hours of use out of it. I attached some pictures of a cotton t shirt that I threw into the wash and came out super wrinkly. The steamer did a good job taking out most of the wrinkles, but it does not replace an iron. The reason for that is because it's hard for the steamer to get the wrinkles out by the horizontal lines on the shirt. My guess is bc it is painted over or whatever material they use is hard to get wrinkles out (as you can see by the pics). It still did a really good job, but for items like these, you would likely need to run an iron over to make sure you get the wrinkles out of the horizontal lines. I suspect that it will do a great day to day job of just getting out wrinkles from dress shirts and work attire. I filled the steamer to the "max" line and the steam was only sufficient for this one shirt (front and back). I had to refill after steaming this shirt. I see some other reviews where it states that you can use it on two to three things. I think it just depends on how much wrinkles you have on the shirt. If you have heavy wrinkles like this cotton tee, then it will likely only have enough steam for one shirt. either way, it's still more convenient for travel and using an iron! Worth a try if you are looking into one! It took less than a minute to boil up. The price is also relatively cheap compare to other steamers.
