Update on this fireplace. We've used it now for a couple of weeks and love it. And I'm finding I kind of like the sound effects. Highly recommend. This is a great fireplace unit. It came very well packaged in about 5 days, it's fairly easy to install and gives a nice flame and ambience to our room. The heat aspect is excellent and gives off plenty of warmth. It's easy to operate and looks great in our existing fireplace. We ordered it with the trim kit, which came separately on another day. And during installation, realized we didn't need the trim kit because we were able to adapt what we already had on our fireplace. When I contacted the company, they responded quickly and gave us a full refund on the trim kit when we returned it. As others have mentioned, the sound effect isn't that great, but we don't need that aspect of the unit. We are very pleased with the purchase and the result.

AMAZING product!!! Wonderfully realistic with beautiful flames and sound. Doesn't warm the whole room but reduces the draft from the chimney which reduces the number of times the furnace has to come on. Beautiful glass doors with overall quality materials and manufacturing. Took a pro to install due to electric hook up, but very very worth the investment. Sooooo glad I bought it. Improves the look of the whole room

I do not normally leave a lot of reviews, however, I wanted to be sure and leave a review for this product. I bought this electric fireplace to replace one that I currently have. It was working fine but did not look as nice. The short story is I am very satisfied with this fireplace. The packaging for both of fireplace and the trim was superb. The quality of both is great and the installation was straightforward and easy. Although it does not have but a few flame options they look great and is more than satisfactory for us. We especially like the two heat options, the glass doors and the fireplace screen. For a rather inexpensive fireplace the quality is fantastic. Hopefully it will provide us a few years of good service. Thanks to the seller for selling a quality product at a reasonable price!

Arrived days before it's scheduled delivery date,beyond expertly packed,whiteout any damage to report.This insert is as close as you can get to a real fireplace,at this price.Aside form the "net zero" that's being sold at a price way over my budget for a similar item.However I'm extremely happy with my decision to purchase the Puraflame Klaus model,as it looks amazing and works like a dream.Better than a previous model I purchased, which only had one crackling effect that was annoyingly loud and unrealistic,including the additional sounds of ocean waves and chirping birds, which have nothing to do with a fireplace.The Pura flame provides several different crackling sounds each at a pleasingly auditable level and very realistic.Constructed amazing well this product was made to last and with proper care should be able to endure much use.Having the ability to heat a room quickly,using the latest infrared technology which is both cost effective and efficient.This fire place must been seen to truly appreciate the masterpiece that it really is,as it has an ability to make anyone forget that it isn't real. Although spring is here, I've used it every single night for the relaxing pleasure it provides.However I do wish that a timer setting was installed,like competing models,since I usually run it before bed. Other than that, everything amazing and I couldn't be happier.So if your searching for something that is undeniably realistic,thats being sold at a decent price,look no further. Being as particular as I am,if this unit satisfies my need for realism it will undoubtedly do the same for you. P.S. I apologize for the heavy breathing heard in the posted video,as my cousin has a cold while filming it for me. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that it was captured so intensely on the audio.Hopefully it doesn't detract too much from the crackling sound effect of the unit.

This is really outstanding. Better than most other high cost ones. Not super expensive, easy to put together and insert (definitely needed the surrounding panels), looks great and generates enough heat give the impression of real fire, but not really enough to warm a large area. The only reason that I did not give this a five is because it has a crackling feature that sounds very fake. It is too loud, too regular and too frequent. We don’t use that feature because of that. Otherwise, this is great. Also, it came in less than 10 days.

I looked for a long time before buying this fireplace, as I really wanted to get something that had an authentic look to it and didn’t look cheap. It had to have a realistic log setup and flames, and not a lot of extra lighting or power panel light distractions when running. This fireplace fit the bill and I am very glad I read reviews to help make the final decision. I think this fireplace does a terrific job of bringing a real home fire look and feel to a room. Very well made, true glass doors and a sturdy mesh sliding screen are truly quality finishing touches. You get several flame selections and I think I would only use 2 anyway, with the crackling sound either on low or not running at all. It’s cozy and lovely- a great buy for the money. I think I made the best choice for my place- I am building my own fireplace setting and mantle and this insert at 33” is a nice size for my small living room area. I don’t regret a thing. It really is quite convincing.

This is probably one of the best investments I ever made on Amazon. Measure carefully because there has to be 8 inches from the actual top of the fireplace, to any wood surface or TV that you want to be over your fireplace. I did not read that in the instructions and luckily I had exactly 8 inches when I installed this into a solid wood entertainment center. This fireplace is packed complete with glass doors, mesh screen and fire logs in place. Extremely well packaged, heavy, and perfect as to measurements described. Once unpacked you really do not want to repack or ship back. I got the 30” fireplace and had ordered the surround trim kit. It is beautiful and works exactly as described. It warms my family room slightly but certainly won’t run you out to turn down the furnace. Since our recliners are less than 6 feet from the fireplace, it’s perfect. I leave it on low flame since it looks more real at that level. My only issue came when I was supposed to hang the fireplace and surround from two little screws, to stabilize it and hold it securely in place. The screw placement must be exact and the fireplace must be sitting solidly on the floor or the bottom of the fireplace when done. That’s tough to do if you are working alone. I finally secured it another way, and it could not look better. Looking forward to cool evenings in front of this beautiful fireplace. It also arrived very quickly after ordering, much to my surprise.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this beautiful fireplace. It looks higher end with the sleek black metal trim kit, mesh screen and glass doors. It arrived early, extremely well packaged, and was very easy to install in our brick fireplace by just one "old woman" in less than an hour. We ran the heat just long enough to test and make sure it comes on and it seems to work well but since it's summer we haven't tried to heat our small living room with it yet. What I really like about the heat is that the heating element does not glow red and take away from the ambiance like our old fireplace did. As for the nitpicking things I'd change ... 1) There are five settings for the "crackle" sounds, the quality of which range from really bad to just okay but that feature is not important to us so we don't use it. It's very quiet when no sound is chosen, which is really nice. The "crackling" sounds, on mine at least, are very sharp, tinny, metallic and not at all realistic. It could be because of the location, which is inside a non-working brick/masonry fireplace, causing an echo of sorts but I'm not sure. Two of the settings are a combination "whooshing" air/crackle sound, one louder than the other - the quieter one is the least objectionable of all five settings but still isn't great. So, as I said, we just don't use the sounds. 2) As other buyers have said, it would be nice to have a timer on it for safety purposes. 3) While I give it 5 stars, I'm only about 98% happy with the authentic look of the "fire." I would have liked to have a bit more variation in the color of the flames and logs/embers, which are all red (although the setting that says it has a couple "blue flames" does have a little tiny bit of color variation in the flames but not the logs/embers). Also, it would be nice to be able to change the speed of the flames. But all that's just me being picky because the fire looks a lot better and more authentic than the vast majority of other electric fireplaces I've seen out there, so it's all good. To me, it looks as good, if not better, than the expensive ones in the fireplace store that need to be "professionally" installed and cost a couple grand. The bottom line is that, especially for the price, this is an outstanding fireplace that I would buy again and highly recommend to everyone.
