  • Affordable Thermal
Honestly I can't believe I can afford this now. Thermal scopes have always been in the $10,000+ range, and now this is 1/4th of the cost. It's still quite an investment, but it seems to be pretty good quality, and full of features. There are 2 cons. 1. It's sort of heavy. Not dramatically heavier than most regular scopes, but with all the electronics it is going to weigh you down a little more. 2. The rangefinder isn't great. You have to select it, and spin the turret to match the size of the animal, and refer to a size chart on the side. It takes forever to spin if your target is closer than 800 yards. I'm a little upset that so many of these expensive thermal scopes don't have a laser range finder. Those are the only complaints I have, and they aren't even that bad. It's easy to use, easy to sight in, and easy to find those hogs before they can even smell me. I can only hope they continue to improve the technology, and reduce the price further. I believe this is THE BEST upgrade for any hunter, or self defense enthusiast. ... show more

  • Amazing value for money and better than the military stuff I used just a decade ago.
Color: XG50
While certainly a pricey item, you simply cannot get better than this thermal scope in todays market for this price point. The clarity/image quality, ease of adjustment, battery life, form factor, light weight, and flexibility to night and day operations is on par or above the professional level military kit and 1/10th the cost. ... show more

  • Not sure it’s worth the money...
Color: Black
I’m a little disappointed overall 1. No detailed instructions (does have a quick start guide). You can figure it out but it is a little odd using long and short press with the very sensitive rotary knob. 2. Battery life is very poor. The scope shut down in only 4 hours at 72 degrees. The removable battery lasted 65 minutes. I assume the removable battery is bad. Seems odd to have a dual charger for the external battery and only come with one. 3. The Distance screen will not allow one to exit with a long press. Needs a software patch. The only way out is to create a new distance. 4. The ballistic calculator software is not sticky. Meaning it will not hold the previous settings from a prior entry. As a Mil dot user, this limitation is annoying in that the ballistic calculator defaults to MOA. Needs a software patch. 5. Zero Profile - The scope can hold zeros for multiple rifles. They are identified by the letters A-E. But you can’t name the profile. Seems like and easy software update. 6. Scope cap - it came with a front but not a rear. For $3K+, I’d expect a rear scope cap. 7. Eye relief - it is closer than I’d like. The diopter adjustment will not get both center and edges of the screen in clear view. 8. Icon color - Cant be changed from blue. Needs a software patch. 9. Auto record - apparently the scope will auto record when fired but not on my scope. This is a real bummer. The good: Stream Vision (your phone interface) is impressive. You can control the scope easier using a phone in most cases. Thermal detection is very good. It is easy to ID your target. General appearance is fantastic. It's virtually identical to a traditional scope. Pulsar got this right. Wifi Syncs up automatically on my iPhone. ... show more

  • Good scope with some minor issues.
The media could not be loaded. I tried/had the XM38 (magnification to high) and the XP38 (magnification to low) but the XP50 hit the sweet spot. Picture is great and PIP is awesome. I like the streaming app and scope options. Battery life could be better, so buy extras and problem solved. I find controls difficult or clumsy but workable. Instructions including online manual suck. Do it’s try and error. The WiFi to phone is very slow for transfers and sound still not working on Apple products and I use MacBook and I phone. Needs Bluetooth. Could not get Mac to sink with cable. Lens cap and seal came off when shooting. That’s all the bad, small stuff. Overall scope is awesome. I give it a buy. Don’t settle for lesser model just to regret and get this one anyway. ... show more

  • Freaking Cool
There are plenty of options out there and it can be stressful figuring out what to pick. I like this scope since it looks like a normal scope and won't draw too much attention to it. Second, it can record video and broadcast it via wifi to a smartphone or tablet. This is great since others can see what the scope sees. If done right, a group of people could benefit from one sight. There isn't a laser range finder but you can use a tool to determine the distance by measuring objects. If you are planning on using this for fast moving targets (coyote) and need to know the exact distance in real time you might want the Trail. I like this scope and look forward to playing with it more. ... show more

  • It works
Color: XG50
Its default refresh freezes the screen for 1-2 seconds every 15 seconds. (give or take) but luckily you set it to manual and hit the power button to activate it. battery drain pretty darn fast even in standby. This is my first thermal scope so i have nothing to compare it too. but it hard for me to justify the price tag. but it works and it cool. ... show more

  • Nice original factory box destroyed.
Color: XG50
I returned it because the listing said it was new but I received it looking like this with the original factory box destroyed and it did not seem like it was brand new it appeared to have been open and handled previously. I can’t say 100% that it was not new but just receiving a $6000 item with the original box destroyed was enough to make me not want it. The outer box had no damage to it whatsoever so it’s obvious that they packed it with it looking like this. ... show more
