I actually rode a bike to work for years - it was a 9mile commute each way. We've always rode top dollar bikes. Well I was quite surprised by the specs on this bike and decided to get one for my wife. (her old e-Bike had become unreliable). Well it's been 3 weeks now and she has been averaging about 9-15 mile per day (unless the weather is bad) and simply loves it. She is impressed with torque and power. Also, the breaking quality. This is my first e-bike purchase. The box is very heavy and you’ll need a utility knife to open it because it’s packed extremely well. Once opened, I found it to be extremely well organized and pretty easy to assemble. I am a 70-year-old woman who’s handy with tools and put it together in about an hour and a half -my test drive was extremely successful. The brakes worked well and it accelerated quickly, and I had a smile on my face the whole time I would recommend the poodle to anyone looking for a nice casual ride in a well belt E bike. I added a cute bike basket to the back rack, but the bike in general is very well-made and I am happy to recommend it ... show more

We just purchased two of the new Poodle urban bikes, they are awesome! I did a compare to several brands and the Poodle is built to a higher quality level than others. High wattage motor, high watt-hour battery, aluminum frame (very important in humid southern states), step through, excellent brakes adjustable stem, bright lights, easy to peddle without electric assist and has exceptional power when engaging the throttle. Order arrived to the FL keys in just 5 days via FedEx and was well packaged so no damage. Even the kickstand is of better quality than others. Bought the Poodle for my wife and an Actbest Core 2.0 ST for myself. Both arrived the same day within a week of being ordered. The Poodle was more assembled than the Core and everything fit perfectly. All I had to do was mount the front wheel and fenders, pedals, handlebars, and the accessories. Very easy and my wife could have done it herself without issues. The Core is a different story. I struggled with fitment on the rear rack and fenders. The handlebar riser arrived with cross threaded bolts so I can’t even put them on. Still haven’t been able to ride it. Waiting for replacement parts. I would 100% buy another bike from Puckipuppy. I hesitated because of the shipping but in retrospect, I shouldn’t have. Lesson learned. ... show more

Think real hard about purchasing with this company, i bought one straight from their website cuz i figured if i go direct then I'll get better customer service than than buying on amazon, boy was i wrong. 1 week into using this bike during normal use, i get a squeak that i cant get to go away, but because i bought this online, i cant take it to a store to have them check it out without paying something. This problem happened on a friday, and they are closed over the weekend even though they outsource their help to out of the USA. i get an email back on the next monday, and even though i email right away, it takes them over 12 hours to get back to me, its going on 5 days of not being able to use my bike and I'm no closer to finding out whats wrong with it. Clearly you get what you pay for with this company, really turns me off from buying anything else from them in the future. BTW prices on amazon are quite a bit better, a few $100's less than the actual website. so take that into consideration when buying. ... show more
