This is an excellent e-bike! It is affordable compared to other e-bikes. There are occasional deals, such as the one on Black Friday. With the fat tires, the e-bike performs well on snow, ice, dirt, gravel, and road. Depending on the terrain and the drive mode, the range is about 50-60 miles. Having now traveled about 300 miles total on this e-bike, I have been able to climb hills and see lots of scenic places in one ride, which I could not do easily on a regular bike. The bike is equipped with lots of accessories (front basket, fenders, rear rack, front and rear lights, horn, etc). With the front basket and rear rack, I have enough space to carry tools, snacks, drinks, etc, on long rides. The customer service agents are very helpful and responsive! The e-bike has a label documenting that it is a class 2 e-bike (750 W, 20 MPH), which complies with my local area's e-bike regulations and allows me to share the same bike and pedestrian paths as regular bikes. I find it most comfortable to ride in Pedal Assist Mode (PAS) 2, which yields an average speed of about 14 MPH. To save on battery power, I prefer to use the full electric mode only if I am headed uphill or if I am just getting started after stopping at an intersection. This is an impressive package at a very good price. The bike is pretty big but fits smaller people, too. Assembly was straightforward but took me a few hours. The bike has plenty of power and rides smoothly on the fat tires. The bonus package contains good quality goods. I have still not mastered all the options but so far everything works as advertised. Customer service is impressive. Recently I discovered that if you hold the bottom three control buttons down at the same time you can access another settings menu not described in the manual. These settings include ways to set how aggressively the pedal assist kicks in and a setting to choose throttle only, pedal assist only, and both. I researched e-bikes for a VERY long time, and I'm a total nerd about smart technology and great customer service, so let me save you some time. Puckipuppy is clearly trying to make a mark in this exploding market, and they've succeeded. No other bikes in this class (Asian made, heavy aluminum frame super-fat-tire bikes) offer the quality and high-end components Puckipuppy uses. I bought both of their fat-tire models, the suspension-frame Flamingo for me and this step-through Pearl Bird for my wife, and we LOVE them. There are dozens of components in these bikes, and I've found that most are simply inconsequential from a branding perspective, so don't get bogged down with them. Most are also cheap enough that you can easily replace them if they break down over time. The elements I was looking for in my wife's bike were 1) a step through frame that was low-cut enough for her to stand with both feet touching while still sitting on the seat, as she's 5'3", 2) a 20AH battery for greater distance, and 3) a thumb throttle for better safety. At this price, I was initially skeptical but took the chance due to their great communications before the sale. Several months and many miles later, we could hardly be happier. They drive GREAT, they pedal great, they brake great, they go a LOOONG way between charges even in the hill country where we live, and they're super comfortable. Most important, their customer support team has been there to answer every question imaginable, and I asked A LOT, as these were my first e-bikes. Love this e-bike. Packaged well. Received bikes within 5 days of placing our order. Assembly took about 3 hours for two bikes. Directions clear, all necessary quality tools included, even the tire pump. Seat provides great cushion. Directions for controls simple. The pickup of this e-bike is amazing. This is a quality bike. It might be too soon to write this review but I believe that the seller demonstrated professionalism and he would standby his products if I need help in future. Per my request I asked the seller to postpone the delivery that by 2 days after my purchase to be at home at the time of delivery and he accepted. I received multiple calls from the seller making sure that I am happy with my purchase or if I am running with any issues/problems with my assembly or product delivery. I received a free gift (accessories) the next day after bike arrived and I did not ask or aware of the free gift option.The FedEx guy delivered my package to my door. The best part is that they seller sells extra barriers on the website for reasonable price. I will definitely will be the buyer again if I need to upgrade to the newer model. I did research and reading a lot of reviews over 8 months before ordering. Many other companies in their fine notes did not take any responsibility for delivery. DO NOT BUY …UNIT is not WATERPROOF My very first ride in Pismo Beach got caught in a rain storm. My unit got wet and now it has a big black dot over the display. My light stays on, have to remove battery to turn off the light. Seller said they on working on a waterproof display. Should have never sold the bike till they had a waterproof display. Also they do not tell you it is not waterproof in there description or anywhere else. Very Very upset ... show more
