Description
People's demand for wooden furniture has far exceeded the growth rate of trees, and tree felling occurs every moment. A tree that has grown for one thousand year can be cut in a few hours. Fortunately, Psilvam found this material and widely used it in various furniture. Through our special toning technology, our poly lumber furniture looks almost the same as real wood, while they are more sturdy than real wood and will never fade or rot. We are committed to creating a furniture environment that does not use wood. We know it will be difficult, but someone must do it. Is polystyrene the only correct answer? This is the third bench I’ve bought for the new dog park in our vicinity. It, like the other 2, looks great and is holding up well. It was easy to assemble. It’s heavier than it looks so you will need 2 people to move it. Easily cleaned with a damp rag. The seat is ergonomically just right for comfy sitting. The dogs regularly jump up and down on it and I see no claw marks.

This is a very high quality wood bench, which we are very happy with. I looked at quite a few, many of which cost almost twice as much, and I can’t imagine that they are any better. The wood grain is very smooth, and all the joints fit together beautifully and fasten tightly. It’s very sturdy and attractive. The seat back, the arm rests and the seat itself are comfortable, too. Some of the others I looked at seemed too straight up and flat bottomed. I used some wood oil on it, and I expect it to last for decades. The assembly was fine. I like putting furniture and things together, so I enjoyed it, and it was par for the course in respect to difficulty. I did ask my husband to help me tighten some of the bolts, because I didn’t want to get out additional tools.

Sturdy polywood looks like it will hold up to severe weather. We have snowy winters, hot summers, and strong winds. This bench should last. Glad we got two. Good materials and good construction. Heavy, yet an injured, retired woman can build it herself. Hints: Unpack the heavy box in your driveway and carry each piece to the patio, then assemble in place. It's just four pieces. - Use a little cheater on the hex wrench or wear sturdy gloves, if your hands are old and fragile. Comfortable, simple, and looks great. Easy to reposition on the deck, and big winds don't blow it around yet. (Disclaimer - winds haven't topped 45 mph here recently.)

The bench is easy to assemble, 15 minute job, but be prepared to use own tool, as the “tools” that comes in the package, as usual, are cheap and not strong. You will need a 5mm and a 13mm wrench or socket. The material is very dense, making the bench heavy, and steady, The wood look is very nice, and the surface finish is very smooth all over, and The seat is well supported by stringers underneath the seating surface. The assembly instructions are very easy to understand and follow and the screws, washers and nuts appears to be of good quality, for the purpose. The “anchors” for the leg/side pieces, placed in the seat and backrest, seems to be strong as well. Put everything together with hand-tightened screws at first, and the place the bench on a flat surface, before the final tightening of the screws. Our bench is placed on pea pebbles, and digs in a little in these, and is rather steady on this surface. The only thing to point out is, the un-even distance between the ends of the seat “planks”, where the hover above the side pieces. It can be taken care of, if you at willing to elongate the three holes in the seats back stringer, before you mount it to the backrest. I’m pretty sure we wil benefit for the this bench for many years 😀

it is not metal, not wood... a wonderful material not affected by heat or beating sun or humidity. Absolutely sturdy and designed for perfect comfort... These benches give a new meaning to "lounging by the pool" ! (also: easy to assemble by a single person).

I have other polystyrene furniture, and like those pieces, this 4' bench is very heavy and sturdy, won't rot, and is therefore excellent for a garden or patio. The hardware is non-ferrous, probably aluminum, so it won't rust. Assembly is simple--four pieces, nine bolts--and took 15 minutes. It would have been easier and faster with a helper to hold things in place. I did follow the suggestion of another reviewer and used my own long metric Allen wrench and a 13mm ratcheting box-end wrench. I also followed another suggestion and carried the pieces about 50 yards or so to where I wanted the assembled bench, so I wouldn't have to carry the very heavy piece of assembled furniture. I ordered the "brown" color for a garden area. The color is a true brown, not the darkest brown there is, but a medium mahogany brown that is very close to the color representation on my computer screen. I wanted to comment on the packing. Although the bench parts themselves are almost indestructible, they were protected against scratches, shocks, breaks, and dents by an incredible array of styrofoam blocks. Shippers of delicate medical instrumentation could take packing lessons from these guys.
