  • This is a monster of a machine!
Size: 40cc
Man, this thing is a MONSTER! If you've been hesitant about Chinese equipment, don't be. This thing can hold its own against all the big boys. Easy to assemble, the owners manual wasn't hard to understand, but the printing was quite small, and once I gassed it up and filled the oil, I primed the carb, and it fired on the very first pull! I have NEVER had any piece of equipment do that!! Color me thoroughly impressed! As far as how it works, it is a absolute beast. I started with the string trimmer head, which is a bump feed and works perfectly, and trimmed a lot of areas that have been needing it. No sweat. Then I decided to try out the chainsaw blade (yes, you read that right). That thing sliced through everything I put it up against like red hot steel through soft butter! I even tagged some hidden concrete and metal in a junk pile that I was trimming, and it never even slowed down. It cut through inch thick weed stalks like they weren't there, and cut really thick, tough grass clumps effortlessly. I did notice that the 3 tip blade it comes with seems to be sharpened on the wrong side though. As the cutter head rotates counter-clockwise, it should have been sharpened on the other side of the tips. Maybe they grabbed the wrong one from the pile at the factory? Idk. Not worried about that, because it also included a circular saw blade! After using the chainsaw blade, I may try that one next and see how it handles small trees. I'll include a picture of the junk pile I was attacking below. Don't judge! The pile was there when I got the house, and I added to it during remodeling, tossing old furniture, etc. That's one reason I wanted this thing is to clean up my property. It's a work in progress... Anyway, I live in central Louisiana, and we've got weeds and vines that I'm pretty sure science hasn't discovered yet. These things are tough as hell, thick, invasive, and will completely take over if you don't keep them cut back. This pile has several kinds of vines, small trees, huge weeds, and some kind of grass I've never seen growing in and on it. I will admit, I was abusing this trimmer, swinging it at this jungle like a wild man, and it never so much as hiccupped. Just sliced through it all and said "bring it b*!ch"!! I was almost laughing hysterically I was having so much fun chopping weeds down like I was Paul Bunyan or something! If my neighbors could see me, I'm sure they'd think I'd lost what mind I had... So, the tl:dr of it is this: if you want a machine that will cut anything you stick it in, on, or against, and you don't want to pay 600+ for a "name brand," get this one. It's awesome! I will try to update the review once I see how the durability and longevity is with it. Some reviews said they had issues and the company replaced the unit, some said they've had it for several years and it's still kicking. I hope the later is the case, because I love it! Get you one! ... show more

  • Best tool I had bought this year, twice
Size: 40cc
After 4 months of fairly heavy usage, this weed wacker/brush cutter is running strong. Starts every time with only two or three pulls. Edit: After using this beast for a year and a half, it has two issues. The first is that it no longer starts by choking it first, then switching the choke to run position. It does however start right up in the run position with the throttle slightly engaged (not FULL throttle). The second issue is that it idles poorly without holding the throttle in slightly. I will be ordering a second engine for it, so I can disassemble this one to find out the root cause of these issues. I was going to order the second engine anyway, but will now be ordering it sooner than originally planned. Still a satisfied customer, as the machine has definitely paid for itself with the a ount of work I had already done with it. 😀 June 13, 2026 I just received another one of these today. I broke the first one, ran over it with the tractor. This one now comes with a dedicated edge trimmer attachment, with its own shaft and gearbox unlike cheaper brands that supply a plastic wheel to attach to the string trimmer head. Well worth the money. I love this brand for their weed wackers/brush cutters. I will try their chainsaws next. ... show more

  • Honest review… I’m surprised how good this is!
Size: 40cc
Would I buy this again or recommend this? Yes, I definitely would!! This weed eater works better than some name brands I’ve had before. Haven’t had any issues starting or storing. Love the fact that it comes with everything you need to get you started. It’s pretty durable for everything I’ve thrown at it. ... show more

  • Very heavy and awkward to use
Size: 40cc
Very hard to start, when I pull the cord it only comes out a few inches and stops hard, almost breaking my wrist. Motor end is heavy so hard to keep balanced with the cutting head using the harness. Handle bar is awkward to use, string breaks often cutting grass or weeds, long grass collects on top of the cutting head stopping it from cutting (it needs a cover over it). Very unhappy with this purchase (yes I did see it was nonreturnable when I ordered but hoped it would work better than it does). ... show more

  • Powerful and Easy to Use
Size: 40cc
Easy to assemble and use. It has plenty of power for cutting grass and weeds, and the quality feels solid. Great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Fuel container does not seal closed
Size: 40cc
I got the 40cc weed whacker after returning the very heavy 52cc model. This one definitely feels much lighter and easier to lift and use although the harness is still essential. I had no trouble putting it together (all the tools are included, a really nice touch). I thought it was tricky to start but it did finally start and definitely whacks my worst weeds in a very satisfying way. However, although I closed the fuel container lid as tightly as I could, it leaks vigorously when I stand the weed whacker upright or put it in any other position but the "whack" position. Although I tried several times to unscrew and re-tighten the fuel cap, it never did seal and fuel still comes out very quickly. Also, I wish the blade were much bigger as it's not that easy to aim. Overall it's a good purchase but I think the leaking fuel is dangerous and it shouldn't be that hard to make a fuel container cap that seals. ... show more

  • Modifications necessary
Size: 40cc
If you are on the fence about this product, I'll give u the goods and the bads. First, very easy to set up. check the oil level as it says shipped without oil. I went to put oil in and it was already full. If you have semi tight spots to get in and out of, you will have to modify the safety guard at the bottom, it's very large I will be removing mine completely. when you look at the strapping set up you are probably going to use the same expletives that I used. I went to Lowe's and bought a simple shoulder strap. It's adjustable and takes less than a minute to put on and adjust, it's also only $10. Changing the trimmer line looks to be interesting for sure. I may end up modifying the handlebars only the left side of course bc the right side has the throttle etc. should make it easier to maneuver and get in and out of tighter spots. As far as the goods, filled it with gas (no mix necessary as it's a 4 stroke motor...nice), turned switch on pumped the fuel bubble about 10x and pulled a couple of times and started right up. Turned it off about 4-5x and it starts right back up. Has plenty of power and will go through weeds with no problem. I have only had it 1 day so haven't had a chance to check out the saw blades etc. I will come back and edit review later but based on what I saw today doing some weed eating, I don't forsee any problems. I will come back and review after summer/fall use. I have a fairly large yard so it will get put to the test for sure. All in all, not a bad machine just needs some tweaks to make it more user friendly. Price is decent for what you are getting. Any questions, feel free to ask. Update almost 1 year later. Product still starts up very easily which makes me happy. It is a heavy machine so be prepared for that. Saw blades work great just make sure you have a good grip on the machine as it will pull away from you (lots of power). As stated in first part of review, string line replacement is kind of a pain. Machine is heavy if you are using it for any length of time. Also as stated above, all in all a decent machine for the $. ... show more

  • Why outperforms the low price point
Size: 40cc
I have three acres of land that was getting over grown and wanted a brush cutter. I found this brand which was about $200.less then some of the others I've tried. This machine is a beast. Fired right up put the chainsaw blade on and have been making Great progress. The only thing I changed was I bought a different sling/harness that was more comfortable and easier to get on and off. Im very happy with this and I would recommend it for a home owner and maybe partime landscaper/ maintenance crew. ... show more
