  • This is a monster of a machine!
Size: 40CC 4-Cycle
Man, this thing is a MONSTER! If you've been hesitant about Chinese equipment, don't be. This thing can hold its own against all the big boys. Easy to assemble, the owners manual wasn't hard to understand, but the printing was quite small, and once I gassed it up and filled the oil, I primed the carb, and it fired on the very first pull! I have NEVER had any piece of equipment do that!! Color me thoroughly impressed! As far as how it works, it is a absolute beast. I started with the string trimmer head, which is a bump feed and works perfectly, and trimmed a lot of areas that have been needing it. No sweat. Then I decided to try out the chainsaw blade (yes, you read that right). That thing sliced through everything I put it up against like red hot steel through soft butter! I even tagged some hidden concrete and metal in a junk pile that I was trimming, and it never even slowed down. It cut through inch thick weed stalks like they weren't there, and cut really thick, tough grass clumps effortlessly. I did notice that the 3 tip blade it comes with seems to be sharpened on the wrong side though. As the cutter head rotates counter-clockwise, it should have been sharpened on the other side of the tips. Maybe they grabbed the wrong one from the pile at the factory? Idk. Not worried about that, because it also included a circular saw blade! After using the chainsaw blade, I may try that one next and see how it handles small trees. I'll include a picture of the junk pile I was attacking below. Don't judge! The pile was there when I got the house, and I added to it during remodeling, tossing old furniture, etc. That's one reason I wanted this thing is to clean up my property. It's a work in progress... Anyway, I live in central Louisiana, and we've got weeds and vines that I'm pretty sure science hasn't discovered yet. These things are tough as hell, thick, invasive, and will completely take over if you don't keep them cut back. This pile has several kinds of vines, small trees, huge weeds, and some kind of grass I've never seen growing in and on it. I will admit, I was abusing this trimmer, swinging it at this jungle like a wild man, and it never so much as hiccupped. Just sliced through it all and said "bring it b*!ch"!! I was almost laughing hysterically I was having so much fun chopping weeds down like I was Paul Bunyan or something! If my neighbors could see me, I'm sure they'd think I'd lost what mind I had... So, the tl:dr of it is this: if you want a machine that will cut anything you stick it in, on, or against, and you don't want to pay 600+ for a "name brand," get this one. It's awesome! I will try to update the review once I see how the durability and longevity is with it. Some reviews said they had issues and the company replaced the unit, some said they've had it for several years and it's still kicking. I hope the later is the case, because I love it! Get you one! ... show more

  • One of my best financial decisions🤣
Size: 51.7CC 2-Cycle
I have had this for a little over a year and a half and use it very regularly. We had just bought a property and I had to clean around 4 acres of really neglected hillside and yard. I was really sketched out when I was buying it and figured I’d use it till it broke and buy a husky or some other name brand this was just to hold me over till I bought something else. I absolutely love this thing now and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Let me tell you when I cut someone’s grass for the first time and they see it they assume it’s a Stihl but when I show them it’s not there impressed. I’ve let my friends and family borrow it and have sold atleast 4 for Proyama I am a huge fan and supporter of them just based off the performance of this weedeater. I live in eastern Kentucky and we have some crazy hillsides the handle bar setup isn’t the greatest for them but it’s certainly doable. Not to mention that 1 tank of fuel usually lasts me around 2 head fulls of string in hard cutting so less trips down the hill to refuel. I have dropped this over hills, fell on it several times, and it fell out of my truck once and it’s still fine and doesn’t look bad. In my time with it I have never had it fail to start or have any issue with it running I keep good gas in it and use husky mix and it’s worked really well for me. This has way more power than I could ever ask for I was so impressed with the weedeater I also bought a chainsaw from them and it’s just as good and reliable as the cutter. Most of the harness’s that come with these are painful or are weak however the one I got when I bought mine has been great and by far the easiest one to put on and adjust I’ve had yet. But hands down this weed eater / brush cutter has been more then worth the price on our property and many others I cut. Only problems I’ve had are just regular issues that happen with everything I’ve wore 3 string heads out so far the original one lasted way longer then the replacements I’ve bought but I’ve been using the Shakespeare Wind-N-Go they seem to last a good bit. I messed up the factory air filter cleaning it and made my own out of filter foam and filter paper. And I was using the brush cutter head and hit a massive rock hidden in the grass and blew a hole in the guard. Then then them small common things I could not recommend these products enough and tell everybody I meet that’s interested in where to find them. ... show more

  • Small initial problem, promptly resolved
Size: 51.7CC 2-Cycle
10/14/24 - Update Contact from proyama sent a replacement trigger piece pretty promptly once initial contact info was navigated. Their customer service can be reached at [email protected]. Very quick to respond once contacted appropriately. Service department is sending a new trigger part and threw in weed eater head as spare. Used brush blade for around 3 hours today, with manipulated throttle cable. This thing is nice, plenty of power to spare, runs great, starts easy. IT's a bit heavy for normal residential use, but I bought this for small saplings and ditch reclaiming. Works great for heavy work and balances nice with the harness. Setup, start and idle works fine, but DOA due to misassembly. The throttle lever piece has a very delicate little protrusion that captures the throttle cable end and this was broken as received thus allowing idle only. ... show more
