I purchased this mat so I could comfortably do my physical therapy exercises at home. So far I've used it multiple times every day for the past two weeks and I have no complaints. It's incredibly comfortable and provides the perfect amount of cushion for my knees, hips, and elbows. Once I'm able to resume regular exercising, I will use this mat for my regular workouts. I also think this might possibly make a great camping mat so I'll test that out this summer. Great support. No chemical smells. Appears to be durable. I've had this mat for almost two weeks and I am pleasantly pleased however it is getting four stars because there's already a little wear in it. (I use the mat daily/twice a day). Given the wear in it based on just the first couple weeks (which isn't terrible might I add just little bumps here and there) I give it about six months lifespan. Will edit and let everyone know. Opening up the package there was a little bit of a weird smell but I disinfected anyway and it was gone after the cleaning. A bonus is the carrying strap that comes with it..I don't even need to buy a case for this - that said, a lot of the standard cases probably won't fit this product because it is extra long and extra thick for a lot of different body types to use. I'm 5'5 and it's super long for me so I think if you were 6'0 or even taller this would work out well for you. I have knee issues from previous sports injuries so doing things like modified pushups/stretching exercises and yoga can take a toll but this mat is awesome. Very thick and good at absorbing any tension in the body. Because of the price and free shipping through prime I actually bought two in two different colors before knowing how well they were going to work out but I'm glad I did. This is one of the better mats I've used. It's purely functional though - the colors are kinda blah and no fancy designs that some women prefer and it's a bit utilitarian however I don't really mind. What counts here is that my hands and knees are super comfortable when I'm doing workouts on these and it allows me to extend further, concentrate, and open up more because the distracting pain I was feeling before has been lifted. This is the PERFECT thickness. It really is 1 inch and honestly it would have been just as good if I ordered half the size. Either way, I have used it a few times now to workout and is extremely comfortable for my knees, hands, elbows and such. I use it to do HIIT workouts and have no composts at all! I also did a little yoga and it is great for that as well. The only con, which isn’t even that big a deal, is that it is super thick to roll up and store. Buy this! I ordered this because, while I love to do yoga, my knees needed more cushioning. With my regular yoga mat, my knees usually felt bruised after yoga. This yoga mat is so cushy. My knees are never sore after yoga anymore. I found it also helps my hands and wrists. The only drawback is that it doesn't provide enough stability for me to do one-legged positions, such as Tree Pose. I found I can't keep my balance on the mat. I usually just step off the side of the mat when I need to do those poses. The pros far out-weigh the one con, for my needs. ... show more
