Beautiful fixtures. Ordered 3 of them. One of the global s is cracked. Unfortunately by the time this was noticed the base had been installed. It would cost to much to have it taken down and returned then reinstalled. So I have to say I am disappointed! Update: Be aware regular Edison light bulbs are too long. Once bulb is in place I was unable to get the glass dome to fit as bulb was too long. Ugh Finally found an Edison bulb that is 104 cm that fits. It was a pain! ... show more

True BRUSHED nickel has a semi-satin/matte (muted shine) finish that's slightly brushed. It also has a subtle warm (yellow-golden) undertone. This light fixture is a POLISHED nickel with a few skimpy wire brush marks and it reflects light. Based on reviews, I kind of expected that, but I purchased it anyway because I wanted a clear glass shade, which is difficult to find, and I doubt too many people are going to look up at my ceiling in the laundry room. First the good: fixture arrived on time, not damaged, and looks beautiful. Next the BAD: if you like the look of the elongated Edison bulb most WONT fit! Had to go to 3 diff stores before finally finding bulbs that fit! The bulb had to be smaller then 5in long and most Edison bulbs are 5.3-5.5 in long. Unless you go for the more rounded bulb which just looks like a clear amber bulb and doesn't really give you the antique look. Third pic shows standard (5.5 in) bulb that wont work, plus smaller (5in) that I was finally able to find, plus rounded style which will work. ... show more

Be careful which bulbs you buy for this fixture, not every Edison bulb will fit. I had to get bulbs that are the size and shape of standard bulbs, the Edison bulbs pictured do not fit, they're too big and the globe hits them.

Beware! This looked like a great light for the $, but my electrician opened and the glass was broken. We went to put it up anyway because I didn’t have anything else and would try to just live with it. The glass continued to break as he tightened the nit very carefully, I might add. It is a flimsy, thin bubble glass. I will try to get it replaced, but likely at extra $$. Not good. Also the screw for the light to attach too was too short. We could not use the rubber but or hex nut as there was not enough room. Loosening the screw at the base allowed us to get the finial on, but doing so comprised the secure hold. I wish I had spent more $ and not gotten this one. Issues with glass and short screw made it very difficult to install. ... show more

Nice light fixture, easy to install works well but time will only tell. The problem is what the company considers what brushed nickel is . They are confused because the fixture came in chrome. I wish I had read all the reviews before ordering 2 of these. As soon as it was delivered I took it out of the box an saw exactly how other disappointed consumers felt. The fixture was very light and did not look like it would work for too long. Also, I don’t enjoy searching for specialty light bulbs that will fit in the glass dome. Maybe if they came with bulbs I would have kept but I don’t think it would have been worth it in a year or two. ... show more
