I'm not a professional masseuse, but just someone who enjoys giving them to the wife to keep her happy! I have been looking for a massage chair for about 6 months and have been looking at ones for 2-3 times that much. I was hesitant after I read some of the poorer reviews, but still ordered it given some of the good reviews. It got here very quickly and in great shape. The chair is very easy to put into working position. There are no instructions, but the pictures on the box show you how to put it up, so if you can follow some very basic visual instructions, you will be fine! The unit is very light and easy to move around. The adjustments are easy, quick and very comfortable. There were a couple of issues noted in other posts with height adjustments, but I'm 5'9" and 200 lbs and it was very comfortable. All the parts moved easily and the padding is very comfortable. The bag is very well constructed and a nice bonus. You will not regret getting this chair! ... show more

This is an amazing value for the money! I bought it to work on a relative who could not stomach lie after surgery. Extremely comfortable! Very sturdy. Lightweight enough to carry under one arm. Folds up - comes with a bag though I have not used that as I have not gone too far with it. The only negative about any seated massage chair is the balance needed to "back out" of it, so think of that if you use it with someone who's balance is challenged, and guard them. Highly recommend this! For the person giving the massage, allows them to be seated behind, stay symmetrical and not "twist" as when working at a massage table - so more comfortable and more ergonomic.     • Good basic chair; Carrying case could be improved.
The chair is fine. It’s basic and I can adjust it to fit most people. However, the wheels on the carrying case are inadequate. It felt like I was dragging a 50 pound package behind me. It also has a telescoping luggage-style handle that feels like it’s not sturdy enough to last long. The other case I had for the same chair had canvas handles sewn into the case and also included a shoulder strap. This has just the telescoping handle and one handle sewn into the side of the case to carry it like a guitar case. All in all a good value for what you get. It's a good chair. As a MT student, I've used it in different settings with different sizes of clients. I've read numbers about 1000 pounds and 650 pounds. Please. If those numbers translated to an actual person, and they were to use this chair, they would get hurt, imo. Tall people used my chair and a very large football coach used it. They fit, however, they made the chair very small compared to their size. Those numbers are totally deceiving. The chair is sturdy. I give my family chair massages a lot and they fit fine. My boys are large, in the low 200s. The case is good, a little tricky to get the chair in the bag without getting a leg caught but it's doable. The handle feels a little wobbly when extended. Treat it nicely and not like luggage and it should do fine. The wheels could be improved upon but they are adequate. For the money, this chair is worth it. Don't be deceived by the 650 and 1000 pound numbers. IMO, someone of that size wouldn't be safe in this chair. For regular size and large people it should be fine. ... show more

I looked at cheaper models but the reviews weren’t great. I decided to spend a little more. This is a very good chair. Comfortable and adjustable. Also the case it comes with is very nice. Has a handle and rollers like a travel suitcase. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

It's all about having the right tools for the job, and this chair is a must have for post op recovery where you need to be face down for extended time. Billed as a massage chair, this is better than medical victrectomy chair rentals. Light weight and well built, its well padded, stable and easy to move from room to room for change of scenery. Separate add-ons are available from other sources. Rite-time Make it Right Mirror and the fleece face mask cover are both really helpful additions to our tool box for this six week period. Purchase cost is way less than extended rental. Note: assembly and adjustment instructions are insufficient, but it's pretty easy to figure out. ... show more

This is a godsend after eye surgery that required face down positioning. I had rented a set of products for Vitrectomy recovery but we returned them prematurely. The doctor told me 7 days face down so my husband boxed all the rental equipment and returned it to avoid paying for another week before I found out I had to stay face down another week. It didn’t take long to realize I needed the chair, and amazon had this one with 1 day shipping. I ordered and anxiously waited for it. It’s been a wonderful surprise. As sturdy as the rented one and the pads are much more comfortable. I wish I’d purchased this and a mirror to begin with as only the chair and mirror were really used from the rented package. This chair cost about the same as one week rental with postage both ways. Couldn’t be more pleased. If we don’t keep it out for massages, will store for other family members who may need this.
