Then my skin burns when I sweat or if that area gets wet. There is one speed. Its long enough in my hands. It works well. Talk about bang for your buck, these are the best clippers I've ever owned and I've spent twenty to a hundred and twenty trying different brands. Bur never have I used any that produced my desired results as fast and clean cutting as these. Truly a professional tool. May not be modern they are old school and obsolete, hence the cheap price tag. This was a good price and comes with a lot of attachments but it was VERY loud and failed today when I was trimming my beard (a spring retainer sheared off and the sing would no longer hold the oscillating blade in place). Was good while it worked.
