- Low-Maintenance Dog Teeth Cleaning: ProDen works from within through the saliva and functions smoothly without requiring brushing.
- Superior Pet Dental Care: Made with no additives, flavors, or artificial ingredients, ProDen's pet teeth cleaning power comes from sustainably harvested deep sea kelp for clean teeth and healthy gums.

Wish I had taken a photo. But this stuff works! I’ve heard too many stories of senior dogs going for a dental cleaning with anesthesia and then fighting infection and not making it. With or without extractions. My senior dog already had a cleaning with extractions 2 years ago and I was nervous enough. Didn’t want to do that again so I found this product and like I said, it works. Enrique’s breath is better and the plaque and discoloration is diminishing. It was bought December 15 and after 2 weeks, very visible results. It’s all natural, from Sweden, with seaweed being the active and only ingredient. This review is unsolicited and honest.

Product is easy to use and results were hard to believe. Her gums went from swollen, red and bleeding to normal looking and most of the plaque came off when I added the chew treats.

My daughter started giving this to her Golden Retriever. I was EXTREMELY skeptical that this would actually work. I decided to give it a try for my 12 year old sweetheart. SURPRISE! IT REALLY DOES WORK! Her breath has somewhat improved, but for her age, the plaque and tartar is a HUGE improvement. Consdering how expensive and invasive it is to have a vet clean their teeth, PlaqueOff is worth it's weight in gold. I will use this the rest of her loving life. The only turn off is the packaging, very difficult to get the scooper out. PLEASE REDESIGN THE PACKAGING, IT SUCKS!

I was a little disappointed, very small amount in package and I followed instructions to the T. It did not do as it claimed by removing tartar.

It’s been about two weeks and I’ve noticed a difference in my dog’s breath. He did not have much discoloration from tartar so I haven’t noticed a difference but no more rancid stench left behind after he licks my nose!

My dog is not a fan of getting her teeth brushed and has accumulated quite a bit of plaque on her back teeth. Vet has recommended surgery a few times but scared to put her under as she’s so tiny. I used this before and never got these results. The key is using this every day on her breakfast and brushing every few days (every day is impossible) with a tiny toothbrush made for small dogs. After just one week of use, two pieces of plaque just chipped off very easy. She’s a chihuahua so the plaque is tiny but you should be able to tell it was THICK. Can’t wait to see what six months look like (even if it’s not perfect)

Here is more detailed information on this product from other websites and the mfg. I wish Amazon would require sellers to post all the ingredients and such, but they don't. So here is more info, hope it helps someone out: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "ProDen PlaqueOff Animal is an easy way for those dog and cat owners to care for their pet's teeth who don't have the patience or inclination to brush their dog or cat's teeth regularly. The product comes in powdered form and it is simply added on a daily basis to dry or wet food. Dogs and cats like the taste of the small amount that is added. ProDen PlaqueOff Animal does not rely on topical application or friction. The product is ingested and works systemically. The natural compound in the product comes out through the saliva and works to break down the bacterial biofilm that forms on the teeth and gums. This is how the natural bacteria in the mouth take hold onto the teeth and gums, colonizing and creating the oral problems of plaque and tartar, bad breathe and gingivitis. It does not change the pH of the mouth or kill off the normal levels of bacteria. ProDen PlaqueOff has been proven to reduce plaque and tartar on the teeth and gums, depending on composition, diet and how long it has been there. It then works to prevent bad breath, plaque and tartar from returning. Patients generally begin to see results over a 2-8 week period, and will see further benefits with continued use. ProDen PlaqueOff Animal is made from a specific strain of selected seaweed harvested from above Scandinavia. This seaweed has developed a natural defensive mechanism against bacterial biofilm. The product is made only from this seaweed and has no additives or chemicals added. It is human grade and human tested. Pet Type Weight Daily Dosage Cat All 1/2 scoop daily Dog Up to 25 lbs 1/2 scoop daily Dog 25 - 50 lbs 1 Scoops Dog Over 50 lbs 2 Scoops Caution Not recommended for animals undergoing treatment for hyperthyroidism About Arsenic (information supplied by ProDen's creator, Dr. Sune Wikner) It is important to understand that arsenic exists everywhere in nature. There are two forms of arsenic: inorganic and organic. The former may be toxic; the latter is not. In the US the upper safe consumption limit is 2 µg arsenic per kg body weight per day. In Europe the figure is 15. Note that those figures relate to inorganic arsenic. Several studies report that the algae that used in ProDen PlaqueOff contains exclusively organic arsenic (7 µg per scoop). Moreover, ProDen contains alginates which are poorly absorbed from the intestine into the bloodstream. Instead they are excreted via feces. The alginates found in PlaqueOff have another well known property. They bind heavy metals like Strontium, Arsenic, Lead and Cadmium. Then the heavy metals leave the body via feces with the alginates and do not enter the blood. In fact, people living near nuclear plants in the US are recommended to eat algae if there is a risk for strontium leaking from the plant. Therefore, there is no risk for arsenic poisoning for pets taking ProDen PlaqueOff." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE FROM ME: So far, both cats HATE it when I add this to their food. I was doing it daily, but we had so much spoiled food from them trying to bury it and refusing to eat it, that I stopped putting it in daily. We even took a break for a while. I just put it in their food again last night, and again, a few bites because they didn't know I'd put it in there, and they walked away! I imagine this product would be fabulous for dogs, who (let's be real) don't get too picky over their food most of the time. But for cat owners, it is doing to be a 50/50 if you can even get it down your cat. We took several "before" photos of our cats' teeth so we could compare. That was a couple months ago, and we've seen no change yet. However, it isn't a fair comparison when most of the time, they don't want to eat whatever I've put it in. I'm also still not thrilled with the arsenic description. Even though it might be safe amounts or a "safe" type, I can't get past the association of "arsenic" and "poison". I guess the amount is negligible, but I'm not totally content about it. I prefer to err on the side of caution. Cats are so small, I could see this building up in their system and causing problems down the road. There is plenty in the small package. The spoon for dosage is miniscule, but is the proper amt. I use about half of that spoon for their wet dinner (one can is split between 2 cats for dinner). I mix it in thoroughly. I even tried making a gravy paste (which they love) with warm water and some of that night's can and the Proden, but they always know it is in there, and reject it. So, I really can't recommend this for cats, since I haven't found a way to get it down them yet. Anything they aren't taking in or keeping down can't be doing them a lot of good.
