We are so pleased with this wheel chair, made by the same manufacturer our rental one was, and it was so reasonably priced for us to buy, verses renting! I was not sure I would be able to assemble it, but it comes almost completely already assembled apart for a couple pieces that were easy to put on, and making your own adjustments so it works perfectly for you. I most definitely would have bought this sooner had I known buying it was an option.

I am having some trouble with this wheelchair. It arrived a couple weeks ago, but my husband did not take it out of the box for me until today. When we tried to lower the seat height with the quick release feature, the wheel rubbed against the brake mechanism and we don't have enough clearance for the wheel to turn unobstructed.If we adjust the brake where the wheel no longer drags, the brake no longer functions. I have to have the seat lower to self propel and don't know if I should send this back or if someone can tell me how to fix this. I tried to add to this review, hope it works this time. As we looked at this wheelchair further, we realized that one wheel is too close to the frame and doesn't have enough clearance to accommadate the brake mechanism. Doesn't matter if wheels are set high or low, only way to use this wheelchair is to remove the brake on one side. How will I know if someone reads this review?

This is a great wheelchair in every way, except, that the adjustable leg/foot rests would NOT remain in the full up position. As the chair is moved, the leg/foot rests tend to move down a bit. This wouldn't be a big deal for most people but for someone with a very painful broken kneecap, the smallest unexpected movement is a BIG deal. Otherwise, this is a great chair and a fantastic value for the money.

I received this chair just last week. Right away I noticed the brakes needed to be tightened. Tried to tighten them and they still don't hold the chair firmly in place when doing transfers. This is a BIG problem for me. Usually a chairs brakes wear out after years of use, not as soon as it gets taken out of the box. Granted this is the first wheelchair I have bought online and not from a store that fits the chair to the user, but it will be the last time I do this. A chair can feel sturdy but when a person uses the brakes and they don't hold the chair in place...then that means the chair doesn't work properly and you should look elsewhere.

Have had this wheelchair for 5 weeks now and the left wheel lock has already broken off. The screw bent then just broke into two pieces. I am not able to remove the broken piece it is lodged in and won't budge. So I can't even replace just the screw. I have tried reaching the company and have left messages, will have to wait to see how many more days it takes for then to return my call. I have tried locating a replacement left lock. In the meantime the wheelchair is useless as we can't lock it in place and that is not safe for my mother who lives in a memory care facility.
