I have always wanted to try my hand at tattooing and when I saw this, I ordered it. This kit has needles and colors and the pen even has 2 batteries. You also get some fake skin to try out on. I purchased more fake skin, numbing cream, and green soap, too. It definitely takes some getting used to using this and I have only tried simple things on the skin so far like different thicknesses of lines and circles and dots and shapes and numbers. I am a long way off from actually working on a live person, but I will keep practicing for now. I think for my next step I want to try doing transfers to the fake skin and see how well I can do on that.

This kit is such a great starting point for beginners! It’s super fun and incredibly easy to use. The pen-style machine is lighter than I expected, and while my hand does get a little tired (it *is* a tattoo pen, after all), the vibration isn’t overwhelming. The battery lasts a long time — and you get two, so you can keep going without interruption. I’m so thankful for the included fake skin. It makes practicing safe and simple, and with a bit of petroleum jelly, you can reuse it multiple times. Not all the ink comes off, but a surprising amount does. Definitely recommend starting with the basics when practicing: dots, lines, and just getting used to the feel of the machine. The adjustable stroke settings (aka needle movement range) give you a lot of control, and the LED screen is super easy to read. The kit includes everything: fake skin, cartridge needles for lining and shading, ink cups, transfer paper, and a few colors of ink. Only two gloves, but if you’re just practicing on fake skin, that’s not a big issue. At $40.99 (price at time of review: 10/25/2025), this is an amazing value for a full beginner setup. (Also… the brand name is “NedPain,” which is… a choice. But the kit itself? AWESOME.)

I have been interested in learning how to tattoo for awhile now, so I jumped at the opportunity to order this Pro Tattoo Machine Kit by nedpain. It arrived quickly and exceeded my expectations in both performance and design. The 1800mAh battery provides excellent longevity so far, as I have been able to practice for several sessions before needing a recharge. The LED display makes it easy to keep track of power levels, and I have only needed to recharge once. The motor runs smoothly and rather quietly. The seven adjustable stroke lengths make it versatile enough for both lining and shading, and the voltage memory function is a thoughtful touch that saves time when switching between techniques. Pro Tattoo Machine Kit w/Tattoo Gun/Pen 1800mAh Battery 7 Adjustable Stroke Lengths RCA Adapter Normal/Stippling Mode 3 Speed Memory 4-12V Voltage 20 Cartridge Needles for Artists & Beginners. I'm using this tattoo kit as a beginner and teaching myself how to tattoo. This kit has everything needed. With other kits, you have to order all these things separately, and this kit has pretty much everything needed to get started with relatively good quality. The tattoo pen is super easy to hold and quieter, with less vibration, than others I have tried. It has a digital LED screen that allows me to check battery level, frequency, and other information without adjusting my posture. The display is clear. It's lightweight and easy to maneuver. The battery can charge for 2 to 3 hours, and give 5 to 7 hours of working time. The ink that comes with this kit is pretty realistic on fake skin (haven't done any real-life tattooing yet). This kit has been excellent for learning. Everything that comes in this set makes it affordable and practical for beginners like myself. Overall I'm really happy with this kit and still practicing before trying to do anything on real skin - that's the next step after a lot of practice. Great value!

Having seen the cost of tattoo gear throughout the years, it's crazy to have the quality of these products at such a low price point. This is a really nice starter set that has everything you need. Adjustable voltage and needle throw and comes with liners and shaders. The practice skin is the only thing I've used this on so far but it's working very nicely. This company does make good products, I have other kits from them as well. I cannot speak for the quality of the ink or how well it will hold but the gun itself is fantastic. Please make sure to research what you're doing before attempting to use this on yourself or others and keep in mind you could be potentially breaking the law if tattooing without a license. Overall, this is a fantastic deal for these tools!
