These are used to give you better power factor, or reactive power (kvar). They wont do much good for resistive energy like electric heaters but anytime a motor runs, like the a/c or anything with an induction motor, it will give you more efficient use of your KW (total power used). I bought this product after reading so many good reviews and its only 2 months that I have been using it, right during the middle of Florida's summer. So far, I can't tell the difference on my monthly bill, but I don't see more peak changes and my A/C unit runs smother. After ordering and installing these power savers < I did not change any usage of my electricity as it was more than a half month since my previous electric bill. In that very short time of usage, I noticed a substantial reduction in my most recent bill, while using the same equipment operation IE: pool pump, air conditioning etc. I hope that my next bill is much lower.
