This is a fine device. Neighbors are impressed, event the plumbing-savvy one who helped me install a well pump 2 months ago. This filter is well made and easy to install. A bit pricey, but works for well water and not all filters do. I had to buy different PEX fittings as the old house I put it in had only 1/2" pipe, but otherwise it went in as planned. The Sediment gauge does not seem to function. Will call customer support. This unit went into our second home that runs off a dug well. I may get another for our primary house even though it is probably overkill for that place that has town water. ... show more

I did a ton of research before I purchased this unit. So far I couldn't be more pleased! Reviews about leaks, especially with the gauges concerned me. The gauges seem robust and are working great. The kit includes adapters for 1" and 3/4" pipe and these adapters aren't easily found, so I really appreciate that they are included with the kit. We had some fun testing the water. We poured a few classes before and after and the difference in smell and taste was astounding! The filtered water was so much better! I installed the kit and had ZERO leaks from the get-go. I suggest a heavy layer of Teflon tape on the threaded parts and thread them completely into the filter unit. I also suggest creating a bi-pass with shutoff valves in case you have a leak and to easily change out filters. I created the bi-pass for multiple reasons, but primarily so when I bring the water level up in our pool each spring we don't filter that water. In that case chlorine is good and I want it in the water. I highly recommend this filter assembly! **just a note that the 220v outlet to the left of the filter is no longer used and has been disconnected in the breaker panel. ... show more

I have Florida well water, anyone who has Florida well water knows how bad the water is unfiltered. I set this 3-stage to filter into my Activated Carbon filter and softener which are regularly checked. I was thinking it would reduce my water's rotten egg smell (Hydrogen Sulfide in water) as I get it sometimes when my carbon filter is backwashing. This product DOES NOT WORK, only the sediment filter works if you're looking into getting a water filtration system call a professional and get a quote. If you only want to get a 3-stage like this get one that is NSF certified or get the holders and buy NSF certified filters for the system. ... show more

We have well water and it had a slight off putting taste initially, but if we ran the water for ~20 seconds it would resolve the issue. I installed PRO+AQUA Elite whole house system along with a 40 micron spin down sediment filter and UV light. Our water no longer has a bad taste and we no longer pre flush faucets before drinking the water. Added bonus, we don’t drink as much bottled water. Pros: 1. Easy installation 2. Great filtration system 3. Replacement Filter cost reasonable compared to other brands Cons: 1. Canister labels are on the back when you invert the direction of flow. 2. Canisters required significant torque to prevent leaks. I used the “ring” tool that came with filter kit and a rubber mallet to stop the leaks 3. Brass fittings took a couple attempts to stop the leaks. I started with Teflon tape and stopped the leaks with RectorSeal pipe sealant. I had same issue with other brass fittings on the spin sediment filter, but ultimately fixed the leaks with Teflon tape by wrapping the pipes 6x and not tighten it too much. ... show more

PROS: -Immediately improves water quality. The taste is considerably better and healthier for consumption. -Your appliances will last longer and perform better with filtered, scale-free water. -If you have dry skin or skin sensitive to chlorine, this system filter out chemicals like that. You’ll feel much better after a shower or bath without irritates skin. -Contacting support is a breeze. Email “hi@proaquawater.com” They are super responsive and helpful. CONS: -Reduces water pressure (as expected) quite a bit. Especially if you are using a spin-down filter in front of it. The gauges may not appear to be working once you install the unit. I contacted support. They said to unspin the gauge itself about 180 degrees counterclockwise and that the gauges would begin working — and they did. -This system does NOT filter out Fluoride. You will need a reverse osmosis system to achieve that. ADVICE: -Let a professional plumber install this system. Have them install a bypass loop just in case you need to have a water supply without using the filtration system. This will allow you to change the filters without turning off water to your home. -Add a spin down filter in front of this three-stage system.
