I've been unknowingly renting my water dispenser for the last 12 years. I thought this thing was "paid off" and I wasn't being charged anymore. Nope!! 8 equates to the number of dispensers I could have bought for what I've spent this whole time. The Primo is living up to its name for the most part. It's very sleek and clean. I love the bottom loaded option. There's a subtle light that stays on and it self cleans. I really love that. My only issues are cosmetic. I don't care for the metal drip tray and the door doesn't have a handle or notch to open it. You kinda have to feel your way around and pull the door open. Other than that, it's a great machine. All the temperatures are accurate and you can see the difference. The safety latch on the hot button is a great feature for those with kids or others with coordination issues. It's pretty lightweight and easy to move around. My water tastes fantastic and it makes great ice. I would definitely recommend this product!! ... show more

    • Had to do a quick fix but works perfectly now.
Hot water nozzle was disconnected when it arrived which caused the unit to constantly leak once it was first turned on. I watched the vendor's YouTube videos and was able to correct the issue by opening up the top of the unit and correctly alliging the plunger. Works perfectly now. I would buy again. ... show more

Works well, but very loud. this unit has three settings for water temperature including room temperature, cold, and hot. The hot water is hot enough to make instant soup, Tea, etc. that you have to wait a little bit before you can drink it. Unfortunately, when the water is heating up, it is quite noisy and kind of sounds like the unit is going to take off at some point. The bottom loading feature makes it easy to refill by simply sliding and attaching the 5 gallon bottle. No more chipping it upside down and trying to contain the mess! ... show more

    • Cheap and ordinary construction
This is the first time I write a review about a purchase, and I do it now because I have become a little upset lately with so many articles that I have had to return. This water cooler-dispenser works very well so far. Ir does what it is supposed to do, dispensing water cold, warm or hot and is very easy to use and install. But... First, when installed it did not dispense hot water, none at all. I did not want to go through the process of returning a purchase again, so I worked on it myself. I opened the cooler and, what did I find inside? The hose from he hot water tank was not connected. Then I found that the cheap, thin plastic door was cracked at the bottom where the stainless steel cover ends. Of course, I could not fix that. Then I wondered, how is it that a prestigious brand like Primo Water sells this so cheaply and clumsily made dispenser, and at a price bigger that it is worth? And then, on further inspection, I arrived at the magic words: "Made in China" End of story. ... show more

    • Best bang for your buck.
I had a local service who was 100% unreliable, so I decided to buy one outright, and give this a try. Needless to say, I am very happy with my purchase. Packaged beautifully, safely, and reliable. Not heavy at all to lift/slide around in the durable, and sturdy packaging. Delivered on time, and very quick and easy set up. Primo Water is available Nation Wide at any and all grocery store locations, hardware stores, etc. This is how I found them in the first place, online. It's $14.00 for a 5 Gallon jug that you slide into the water dispenser, and then if you want refills at certain locations, it's $7.00 for a refill. This is the price around me, and I live in PA. The machine itself is self explanatory, and if you have an issue with setting anything up, it comes with very specific instructions that took me less than five minutes to have it all up and running. For the Price, you truly can not beat having your own water dispensing system, all the while saving on plastic bottles/waste. I would check in your area first, and make sure you also have Primo Water Jugs close by that you can pick up/refill though. I Do Not know if this product can support other 5 Gallons Jugs of water besides Primo. Hope this helped. ... show more

    • Good after it’s thoroughly cleaned
About 2 months in and love the water cooler. But when we first got it anytime water would sit in the reservoir for more than a few hours it produced a metallic or a very bad chemical taste. Support had me do a set of cleansing steps that are on their website with a vinegar / water mix to resolve. It took me about 30-45 minutes to do the rinse twice but it resolved the problem once and for all. ... show more

I was feeling more and more guilty about the thousands and thousands of single use water bottles I have used in my lifetime. We invested in this, and it is great. It is a bit expensive, yes, but over time, it will end up being cheaper. We ended up buying 4 generic 5 gal water bottles and 4 silicon push caps, that is enough water for 2 humans and our 3 cats. The chill gets it pretty cold, the cool is a little below room temp, and the hot is well... hot, but not McDonald's litigation hot. I leave the nightlight on, its a calming blue-white light. It is incredibly easy to replace the water. When it is empty, there is a flashing red light. When I swap bottles, there is enough water remaining in the "empty" for a small glass of water or a cup of tea. This is absolutely, 100% a necessary item if you're trying to get away from single use water bottles. ... show more
