UPDATE: eliminated one star because of inadequate use instructions. I am managing to figure things out because of my familiarity with lift chairs. Someone unfamiliar with them would be having difficulty beyond the nuisance level. There are no instructions as regards the massage and heat functions of this chair. As well as a very inconvenient location of the said controls. I had originally complimented the engineering, however they missed the part as regards the heat and massage functions. They both work very well once you stumble through the discovery process. I still would recommend this chair with a forewarning of the aforementioned oversights. This is a well engineered and built chair. When unpacking you immediately get a sense of the quality of this product. I have had several lift chairs. Due to several structural problems I am frequently attempting to reposition myself to escape discomfort. This chair truly has infinite position capabilities. I could go on and on.     • Fantastic Chair w/ Minor Complaint
I purchased from a local medical supply so I could get assembly and delivery. First thing you need to do is go to Pride Mobility’s website and locate this model. It’s sold in 3 sizes and the dimensions are provided on the site. If you buy the wrong size, you didn’t do your due diligence. I’m 6’4” and 255lbs. I’ve had simple 2 button recliners all the way to this model’s infinite positions. This is by far the most adjustable lift chair I’ve had. I’ve never been more comfortable. I bought the Large size and this thing is massive. Pros: Sooo many positions. Really lifts you up to make it easy to stand. The heat works! The massage works. Feels solid and well made. Pretty quiet. Lithium battery backup! 2 memory settings. Cons: The heat and massage buttons are located on the interior side of the left arm. Several times sleeping I’ve accidentally turned on one or both. It would have been better for me if these were on the outside arm. As a personal preference I would prefer cloth to fabric but the leather on it is still very nice. Conclusion: This is no-doubt the best lift chair you can buy. That being said, you need delivery and assembly.     • Another piece of expensive Chinese Junk!
I purchased this chair two years ago hoping it would live up to the advertised hype the salesman gave me after almost a half dozen different discussions and the sale of a different one I purchased online that didn't. Luckily, I was able to sell that one to someone who really liked how it fits her. I purchased this one because I knew I would be living in it 24/7and the weightless layout appealed to me. Everything is great except the location of the switches for the heat and massager, which are located in a terrible place on the inside of the left arm of the chair is, down low by your hip, particularly if you are a man. The massager gets turned on accidentally constantly. The massager on this chair isn't pleasant. It's almost painful and it's very uncomfortable. I finally unhooked the wires from the switch. The padding has packed so bad it's uncomfortable to lay down on it and the foot support no longer works. I misplaced my extended warranty and can't get anyone to come out to my house and fix it. I'm a paraplegic with Parkinson's disease and can't drive or walk, so I am living in my old lift recliner I've had for about 25 years or more 24/7. Pretty amazing, in a lift recliner I paid $475 for 25-30 years ago that still works and a $2400 lift recliner that broke down in less than 2 years. PURCHASED CHAIR OVER $2300 on fixed budget. Chair was too large for elderly customer wanted to exchange for smaller chair..Company refused even though request was made way within 30 day limit. Do not purchase from this company.

    • Assembly instructions??
This chair has been wonderful for the 4 days of use so far. The instructions for assembly were displayed as a simple 3-step process. The reason it looked so simple was because some of the details were omitted and had to be figured out on our own. 1. the wired remote control was to be installed before the back was placed on the base but that detail was not revealed until after the easy steps had installed the back. 2. connecting the many wires was not described. 3. Two bolts and a wrench were included and shown in a sketch but one location was not accessible and the other could only be installed by very small hand. But I like the chair a lot. ... show more
