I like making hash browns, zucchini patties and apple cake and shredding is the one thing I dread. So far I used the device to shred cheese, zucchini, apples and cut walnuts (that was super quick and easy!). The only issue I had was with the apples. It took much longer than expected and I had to push quite hard. I'm using the big shredder (that's the main blade I bought it for). The only little downside is that once you are done with the job, you need to disassemble 6 parts which is a minor hassle. But everything is dishwasher save, just takes a bit of space. ... show more

It’s excellent for cutting veggies. I thought it would also be good for shredding hard cheeses. It doesn’t shred quite as fine as I like it but it will have to do.
