I have never used a daw before purchasing studio one. I have however played guitar for over 25 years. I have had the software for about a month now and I have already recorded 5 full songs, each with many tracks. I started by watching a lot of tutorials on how to use studio one, since I had no previous experience. This turned out to be a great step for me. The software was very easy to install and setup. I feel like I have learned a lot about how to use the software in the last month. I also feel that the software is very intuitive and user friendly. There is still a ton I can learn about using the software, but as I said earlier I have already been able to record 5 complete songs with just the knowledge that I have acquired in the last month. I also like the interface that it comes with. It allows me to easily connect my guitars and bass to be recorded. It also comes with a microphone, which connects to the interface. The speakers are also pretty good quality for the price of the bundle. All in all, if you are someone who is interested in recording some of your songs or ideas from home, this bundle will allow you to do that. Didn't need tech support. My 1st personal studio and I am more than thrilled. Came a day earlier than expected and when I was finally able to hook it all up it was easy and simple to understand. After registering on my.presonus.com I was able to register my equipment and begin quickly with downloading installments. Didn't take long, I have a basic computer and the hookups were simple. I am prepared to record one song and I have made my 1st original beat already. All for a decent price too. ... show more

Specifically ordered this bundle and paid more to get the blue and silver one as there are other bundles that are cheaper with the black one. Received a black one. Not happy about that, other than that, it’s fine. Just not a fan of ordering one thing and getting another. Headphones are decent.

Beginner equipment sounds excellent for the price. Make sure you do the installation steps as instructed or prepared to have pain in the neck ... other than that the studio one 5 its awesome to play with . Every day learning something new about it .. and dont forget to subscribe to presonus YouTube account for pretty much everything to do with this daw ... My bundle came with studio one 5 Presonus audiobox 96 interface. Pair of eris 3.5 monitor speakers . Headset M7 microphone ,cable and a mini tripod useful . ... show more

I use Logic Pro with it, on a Mac, and have had no problems. NOTE: Even if you use a different DAW - still download, install, and register Studio One software before you connect the hardware to your computer via USB. Or you may hear some audio anomalies.

    • Good but not Great, Very Complicated
I found it easy to connect, but getting everything to work took a while. The softWare takes time and practice to understand and a better set of instructions would help. Too much time spent on the thousands of add ons, not enough on the track setting and actual use to record live. Luckily there is YouTube for some of it. M17 has quirks.
