I just recently acquired the Stream Deck Plus. I enjoy online video games, making videos, hopefully Twitch/YouTube streaming soon, and I love tech...as in "Smart Home". I like being able to adjust thermostat, a/c units, lighting, etc. from a single source. This El Gato is compact in size, excellent quality, powerful, and while there is a slight learning curve, easy-to-use. You can find myriad videos online from El Gato, and various content creators and tech reviewers, to learn about all the capabilities of the Stream Deck.

I really like the Stream Deck Plus for a number of reasons, but mainly as a desktop control device for the various office productivity apps (Zoom, PowerPoint, Chrome, Word, etc) as well as a companion for using my video editing software. I have a Stream Deck XL that I use for video switching and a smaller 15-button Stream Deck I have used for more video use, but the versatility of the Plus makes the other Stream Decks feel obsolete. Knobs offer more control for audio and other functions like moving edit points incrementally. I'm sure I've barely scratched the surface for all the things I could be using it with, but I'm looking forward to those happy discoveries.

You know Elgato. The Stream Deck is awesome. You can program it to do nearly anything that you can think of. I use it for everything including pc tasks, turn on and off lights around the house, changing their colors. Short cut tasks that require many clicks. The knobs are very solid, not plastic. It's easy to set up, plenty of videos out there on how to get the most out of this versatile unit.

Works great for me!! There's addon and plugin support like the Spotify Integration by BarRaidergot which I use daily, even while not streaming! I initially got this to replace another controller like this from another brand cause their product had a memory leak while the software was running. Only time I had an issue was when I had to manually hard-reset/re-install the controller software to fix a visual bug where the screen wouldn't update!

The dials offer precise control over various functions, such as audio levels, camera zoom, and lighting adjustments. Each dial can be pressed to switch between functions, and the touch strip above provides visual feedback and allows for easy navigation between pages. This setup is particularly beneficial for real-time adjustments during live streams or editing sessions. Integration with Elgato’s ecosystem is seamless, especially when paired with products like the Wave Link audio software or Key Light. The Stream Deck+ also supports a wide range of third-party plugins, expanding its versatility beyond streaming to tasks like video editing, music production, and even general productivity.  However, the device isn’t without its drawbacks. The current software support for the dials is somewhat limited, and while the community is actively developing new plugins, it may take time for more comprehensive functionality to become available. First Impressions: Right out of the box, the Stream Deck Plus felt solid and well-made. Setting it up was a breeze, and I customized it to fit my needs in no time. What I Liked: • Ease of Use: The 15 programmable LCD buttons let me set up hotkeys for quick access to essential functions, making managing my stream and other apps much simpler. • Extra Controls: The rotary knobs and touch screen add flexibility for adjusting audio and other settings. Now, I can easily tweak my mic volume or switch scenes in OBS without hassle. • Customization: Being able to personalize each button with icons and even GIFs is awesome! My Stream Deck now looks just the way I want it. What Could Be Better: • Software: Occasionally, the Elgato software can be glitchy. Some plugins have crashed or didn’t work correctly, and the plugin installation site can be slow. But overall, it’s manageable. • Price: For a newbie streamer, the cost might seem steep. However, considering its functionality and build quality, I think it’s a worthwhile investment. Conclusion: The Elgato Stream Deck Plus has become an indispensable tool in my streaming setup. I love my Stream Deck. It allows me to program for multiple platforms and programs. Plus you can download a bunch as needed. I use it to live stream, zoom calls, work shortcuts, starting programs, adjusting volumes, etc. Great quality product. Size is perfect for my desk as it sits on my second monitor stand without interfering with other things on my desk. Good value for the money.
