Features

  • Tethered: Needs to be connected to a computer with Ableton Live. Push gives you detailed control over Live running on your computer. Ableton Live Intro software is included.
  • MPE Pads: 64 MPE-enabled pads, each featuring an XY sensor that detects your fingers movement across the surface of the pad.
  • Expressive Touch: Mimic fretless strings, play smooth shifting chords, vary bowing techniques - all without taking your hands off the pads.
  • Finger Drumming: Play different percussion articulations within a pad hits and rolls, open and closed hi-hats, sticks and brushes.
  • Audio Interface: Built-in audio interface with two inputs switchable between line (balanced) or instrument (unbalanced), and two balanced outputs.
  • Connecting Gear: Connect guitars, dynamic microphones, turntables, hardware synths or effects to record directly into your Push session or Ableton Live.
  • Creative Hub: Sample records, control modular jams, create multi-track recordings - Push works as a flexible creative hub and is the heart of your setup.
  • ADAT Optical in/out: Add an additional 8 inputs or outputs. Expand your setup to include mic preamps, additional instruments and effects, and multiple connections to modular gear.
  • MIDI: Connect a standard MIDI keyboard or other controller to Push for more ways to play its internal instruments, and send MIDI to your hardware.
  • CV/Gate: Control and sequence your modular setup and other external synths by sending CV and gate signals from Pushs footswitch jacks.

  • Love it!!
Style: Push 3
The push 3 is a super well thought out controller that is perfectly paired with ableton live. I recently made a move from a long stint in logic pro to working mostly in ableton to support an interest in using standalone hardware devices like the mpc's from akai. Turns out I'm a software guy and this guy can not go back to smaller screens and weird workflows. Ableton makes quick production simple and fun while still supporting advanced functionality with Live. Push is pre-mapped and easy to navigate to get a tactile vibe going with the software without having to relearn workflows, the underlying functions of which are second nature at this point. Love it and can't recommend it enough. ... show more

  • Shouldn't have waiting so long to get it

Honestly a game changer if you're already familiar with Ableton's workflow. If you've been thinking about getting something for a more tactile feel, and you like Ableton, just get it

  • Push just did not Push me in the right places
Style: Push 3
I recently tried the Ableton Push 3 (controller version) and ended up returning it. I wanted to love it because on paper it seems like the perfect centerpiece for an Ableton setup, but in practice it just didn’t click for me. First, the hardware itself is actually really nice. The pads feel great, the screen is clear, and it definitely feels like a premium device. When it works smoothly, the workflow is very cool — especially for playing instruments and sketching ideas. Where it fell short for me was stability and sequencing. On my system it was pretty buggy. I ran into weird behavior, lag, and occasional hiccups that broke the creative flow. For something at that price point, I expected it to feel rock solid. The other big issue was sequencing depth. I was hoping for something closer to the workflow of hardware grooveboxes or Elektron gear where sequencing is really powerful and immediate. Push is great for clip launching and Ableton integration, but the sequencing side felt more limited than I expected. In the end it felt like a great controller for Ableton, but not the hardware-style sequencer I was hoping it would be. If you’re deeply invested in Ableton’s workflow and want hands-on control, it’s probably amazing. But if you’re coming from hardware sequencers (Elektron, MPC, etc.) you might find it a bit underwhelming. For me it just wasn’t worth the price, so I sent it back. ... show more
