Unlike some other furniture I've bought on Amazon the assembly was tough for this cabinet. The door hinge system is so difficult to get right that finally after an hour left it the best I could get. The directions and labeling are not very good so people with limited skills will struggle to put together. Needed a drill a one point and glad I did NOT use the size they wanted 3/16 instead I used a 5/32 bit. Very heavy and sturdy. Nice addition for extra storage in our kitchen. FUNCTIONALITY: This is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. It's just what I needed to increase storage and counter space, and to fill an awkward corner leading to the basement stairs. Now I have a very convenient place for my taller kitchen appliances (blender, ice cream maker) and a permanent, easily accessible location to store my big crock pot. I'm going to cut a 36 x 24 silicone mat to fit across that section of counter and the top of this piece, and that's where my toaster oven and toaster will live! This piece of furniture has allowed me to make huge improvements in my kitchen, and I couldn't be happier about that! PACKAGING: This was VERY thoughtfully packed. Every piece was kept safe, but the overall package was surprisingly streamlined and small. Best of all, the styrofoam inserts were shrink wrapped in plastic!!!! No nightmare snow storm of static cling styro flakes!!! THANK YOU, PREPAC!!! ASSEMBLY: This is another place this item really shines. The directions were a very thorough BOOKLET instead of just a one-page with diagrams and few/no words. However, the directions didn't even NEED to be that thorough, because this piece was so skillfully designed for simplicity and ease of assembly. Once I did a quick layout of all the parts and inventoried them against the list (everything was there and in great condition!), it took hardly any time at all to put together with just a few turns of a screwdriver. All holes were pre-drilled to the perfect diameter and aligned flawlessly. The innovative hardware they provided cut down on labor in a major way while still constructing a sturdy piece. The only thing that gave me pause was the door hinges (I had never installed this type before), but the directions even went into a lot of detail with several diagrams about the hinges, and even about how to adjust them to get the door to lay EXACTLY how you want it to. SUMMARY: For this price, this is a wonderful item. Clean and beautiful finished product. Easy to assemble with only one person. I am SO impressed with PREPAC. Sincerely, other flat pack furniture companies should be TAKING NOTES HERE. PREPAC is going to be the first place I look any time I need flat pack furniture like this again. 6 out of 5 stars!!! ... show more

We got this wood wardrobe in white to match the other cabinets and for guests when they come. Came undamaged well packed even though the outside carboard was crushed. No strong smell and backboard was fairly strong, not cardboard type. No chipped paint although it is not a great finish. Assembly was easy after we labeled the wood pieces after identifying them according to the instruction diagrams. We found the diagrams confusing so we just eyeballed it from there. My granddaughter and this lady assembled this unit in 1hr. 30 min. except for handles and hinge adjustment. (we lost or was short 2 screws for handle) ... show more

The quality of these is "good" in terms of sturdiness and durability, but they fit and form/appearance isn't the best. Therefore, I would only recommend these for use in a utility capacity (garage or shop) and NOT in the home. Also, some of the "linked" video reviews of this product reference a track installation system so that's what we thought we were getting ... this company does make a product like that ... but it IS NOT this one. Therefore, these are more difficult to actually install than what we were expecting. The product specs themselves are correct. But be aware that you will need to supply all your own installation hardware and it's significantly more complicated that installing a rail system and then mounting cabinets on those. ... show more

Very Sturdy. Instructions are not that good, but I easily figured it out. There were damaged pieces, and I would have sent them back, but I have contractors hanging it for me and on a time frame.

I bought this upper cabinet for my laundry room and simply did not want to spend big bucks on a cabinet that is in a laundry room. I opted for this one and hoped for the best. Hubs put it together with little effort. He got it up which was exciting considering he had to position it over the washer and dryer. But he got it up and it looks great. It is sturdy and holds huge containers of bleach, fabric softener, and various cleaning products. The gray is not too dark...it works perfectly with the beige walls. I loved it so much that I bought the same for my daughter's home. She has it in her kitchen over her coffee bar. I highly recommend it. It is well-constructed and supports heavy items. ... show more

It’s heavy. Seems sturdier then typical boxed shelves. The holes for the shelves don’t all line up. It lined up where I needed them to, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Went together fine.
