  • Model has changed, but great dresser!
Style: Astrid Color: Espresso
I bought one of these in September 2024 and a second April 2025. I’m disappointed to find that the design has been changed. The taller one on the right is the older model and I wanted an identical second. I’m not a big fan of the little skinny drawer at the top that seems to have replaced the full size drawer from my older model. Otherwise this is a great unit for the price. It’s sturdy and easy to put together. It’s helpful to have a drill or electric screwdriver to put it together but not a requirement. I built it by myself in about 2 hours. I think it’s even mostly real wood! ... show more

  • going the purchase a second one soon
Style: Sonoma Color: Black
the wood used for this dresser is nice, everything is smooth and glossy its a bit heavy while in the box, but once it’s built it’s easy to manage/maneuver. the size is ideal if you’re in a small room and don’t want to take up a lot of room. it feels very durable and secure. the drawers are pretty spacious and the pull out function is extremely smooth the instructions were clear making it easier to build all by myself (i’m 4’11 at about 130lbs, i’m not athletic whatsoever and can barley carry a 5 gallon jug of water) so if i can do it, you can do it with no problem! ... show more

  • Heavy, broken, but does it's job.
Style: Sonoma Color: Black
Pros: Strength- I can't really imagine this thing caving in to casual use. As long as you aren't overfilling it with very heavy items it should be able to hold your clothes perfectly fine. No this is not meant for an extra storage unit for your power tools, your survival kit, or even your extra household items UNLESS you plan on switching out the cardboard bottoms for much sturdier ones. The reason I say that is because of the key word I mentioned before...cardboard. The bottoms are made of 'cardboard' and so they WILL NOT hold TOO much weight, but for everyday intended use it's perfectly fine. In fact I found that it's a much thicker and sturdier cardboard than those of my old drawers that were cheap Walmart units. Looks- It's a VERY beautiful dresser and I'm very happy with the purchase when it comes to looks. Build- It wasn't too hard to build. Height- Absolutely not meant for children or people under 5' 5" inches as you will probably suffer from not being able to reach the top drawer or even the items on the top of the dresser. But it is perfect for anyone above that height. So could be technically/partially child proof. Cons: Build- It took at least 3 hours, 1 callus, a bandaid, some music, and a lot of pain to build this. I would highly suggest that you give up all of your inner pride of "I'm a strong person! I can do this with a hand screwdriver!" because you will simply hurt yourself. After 3 straight hours of constant screwing I got a callus, which was expected, but I wasn't expecting to get so pissed off that I then hurt myself. The details that I will spare you of. Tools- Do listen to the manual and get an electric screwdriver to remove most of your pain and even reduce build time. A second person to help mass build the dresser units is quite helpful. Shipping- The top of the dresser, and a dresser itself got damaged while in shipping. Which is very disappointing because the little marker to "deluxe" the dresser wasn't helpful at all so I now have a very ugly mark on the top. So do beware of who is handling your package. Weight- This one is very important because if you live alone and expect to lift this into your house....well then you better hope you catch the UPS driver on time and have them help you because that is NOT happening. This thing weighs about 70 lbs....and no I'm not joking. You WILL NOT lift this by yourself unless you are some type of body builder and even then I will be impressed. I had to shimmy this through my door and then open the package there and slowly bring up each item to my room. Overall: I'm happy with the purchase besides the damage done to my dresser, and it has done it's job well enough. I was able to fit almost 2 entire drawers worth of clothes into this one unit and that is exactly what I wanted. I don't think I will ever waste my time buying another one of these because of the weight and the time it would take to reconstruct the second one but it was a fun "first time for everything" experience. ... show more

  • Surprised and Impressed!
Style: Astrid Color: White
So, I just finished assembling this dresser and wanted to write a review while the experience is still fresh in my mind. Before going further, let me say that I have assembled many different types of this "you-do-it" furniture over the years (and have the extensive and colorful vocabulary of curse words to prove it), so I feel qualified to give a review. First, this baby is HEAVY. The UPS man trotted it up to my doorstep on his shoulder and sat it down like it was a sack of potatoes, but I couldn't move it off the porch. Once hubby arrived home, we got the box inside (he had to use a dolly, I don't know what they feed those UPS guys!). The parts were very well packaged and all the pieces were there, which was exciting. No serious damage. A slight scuff mark on one of the sides, but since it was going in my closet, I didn't particularly care. Once I began to assemble the dresser, I was pleasantly surprised. (Yes, I assemble, my husband totes. This is why my marriage has lasted over 30 years). The pieces are really solid for this type of furniture. Also, the manufacturer went to some considerable trouble with the directions. They are actually very clear (rather than being written in a dead language that no one has spoken for a couple thousand years), and have many helpful diagrams. They even color coded some of the parts for those of us who have trouble programming a DVR. (Note: you do actually need to READ the directions and follow them even though we all know that real men don't need directions. And no skipping ahead!). I was one of the lucky ones this time and all of my pre-drilled holes aligned and joints fit. Even so, it took me about 2 hours to assemble because the manufacturer put some thought into this thing and made it sturdy. Once complete, I'm really pretty happy with it. Now, something that I don't particularly like. There's no bottom on the dresser. It's open to the floor. Also, the back doesn't go all the way to the floor. This is probably not an issue if it's going in your bedroom or your closet, but if you intend to put it somewhere for storage, you may want to attach some plastic to the bottom/back of the dresser so you don't have little creepy crawlies make themselves at home in your drawers. Is there a gap between the dresser top and the top drawer? Yes. But it's only about 1/4" and I haven't seen one of these ready-to-assemble pieces that doesn't have gaps somewhere. The drawers fit surprisingly snug, however. I also am not crazy about having the cams on the inside of the drawer where my clothes will go, but that's not a show stopper. They don't stick out so that they're likely to snag on my clothes and I'll probably forget they're there by next week. It would be nice if the manufacturer had included some of those little plastic covers that snap over the cams. Overall though, I'm impressed with the quality and I feel it is worth the price I paid. I would recommend this piece to others who are looking for something similar. (Hint: when assembling, the drawer bottoms sometimes have difficulty sliding into the groove on the drawer front. If you loosen the cams on one side of the drawer, you can slide the bottom into the groove and re-tighten the cams. Worked every time!) ... show more
