I know it can be risky buying furniture online regardless of reviews- I purchased this dresser for my 7 yr old son so I knew it would have to be a solid and sturdy piece. The box arrived and I was immediately impressed by the weight of it. Press board like everything else but it is thick and solid. The directions were clear and everything was included minus a screwdriver and a hammer. I assembled this in an afternoon by myself. I did go the extra step and woodglued every screw hole and every joint especially the drawers. Afterwards I painted it with chalk paint. For the price I do believe you are most definitely getting your money's worth. I'm confident it will last for years to come. This dresser turned out to be sturdy and looks nice once fully assembled. The size is good for a small bedroom, and the drawers offer nice storage space. However, the assembly process was frustrating—there are so many parts and steps that it took several hours to complete. The instructions were clear, but the amount of hardware involved made it feel overwhelming. Once it’s put together, it does the job well and feels solid. the wood used for this dresser is nice, everything is smooth and glossy its a bit heavy while in the box, but once it’s built it’s easy to manage/maneuver. the size is ideal if you’re in a small room and don’t want to take up a lot of room. it feels very durable and secure. the drawers are pretty spacious and the pull out function is extremely smooth the instructions were clear making it easier to build all by myself (i’m 4’11 at about 130lbs, i’m not athletic whatsoever and can barley carry a 5 gallon jug of water) so if i can do it, you can do it with no problem! ... show more

We knew this was going to arrive in a flat box and that it would have to be put together. My adult son is very experienced at doing this. But after he has it halfway put together and starts putting drawers in. We see that the drawers don’t even come close to meeting each other on the top or the bottom, huge gaps! we live in Hawaii so there’s lots of bugs and geckos, and I didn’t want things running in and out of his clothes, not to mention the sticky residue from ocean air. Could’ve gotten one with fabric drawers, much easier and cheaper, but they don’t keep things clean. Tried To return it to Amazon, and of course to get it returned, you have to take it all apart again And try to box re-box! Obviously, we wouldn’t have put it together if we’d known it would be so poorly designed and made out of such shody materials. So you can’t tell that nothing fits until you put it together and then once you put it together, you’re asked to take it all apart again and try to get it back in the box and tape up to get your refund. So my son opted to get a partial refund and then try to buy things to try to fix it. I would have preferred to send back. but it was a lot of work to get it put together and then have to take it apart again, so I guess we are stuck with it,it’s just ridiculous! It’s hard to get anything in Hawaii. I have to wait a long time and when it’s something like this that had to fit in such a small tall but narrow space there weren’t a lot of options, but I expected better than this! One of the most aggravating things about shopping online here and this is true of Amazon and other places, Home Depot, etc. you look and look to try and find something good that you can afford the shipping and that will come at some point and then after you make up your mind and you go to order, that’s when they tell you that it can’t be shipped to Hawaii. They have my address they know where it’s going to. Why doesn’t it say doesn’t ship to Hawaii right in the beginning? Why does it wait until you get clear to the purchase point not just add in the cart but purchase point before they tell you that it can’t be shipped there, very frustrating, Just makes a difficult process that much harder. ... show more

This appears to be pretty nice. We are about half way putting it together and I would highly recommend that the manufacturer label the boards and side pieces. That is what took the longest. So far we are into 2.5 hours. We just have the drawers to do. I’m hoping it works as well as it looks. I would recommend this as most of it is made in USA or Canada according to their literature. Update: This is a nice cabinet for sure. I have been using it for about a month and it is sturdy and nice deep drawers. ... show more
