Ok this is a weird use for this product, but bear with me. Before going on a big hiking adventure, an expert advised me to hold onto my hiking backpack straps as I walked in order to keep my chest open and make it easier for me to breath (when I was not using my trekking polls). My only issue was that my figures would go numb from being compressed between my straps and my body. I bought these and attached them to the straps of the bag to give my self a place to hold onto. I used this system at different times during my big hike and was so happy with the results. These handles worked perfectly, even when I was wearing large winter gloves.
