I wanted a small cargo net for carrying items on the outside of my backpack (e.g. hard hat, helmet, bear canister) so as not to sacrifice valuable internal storage. This net works great! The cargo net is thick enough that it is sturdy, but stretches, and won't fray after a few uses. Some reviews indicated the hooks would snap...they are a hard plastic and I can see them breaking if force is applied to them on their open ends or they get buried under heavy loads. Mine have held up so far, but I'm conscientious of how I secure the hooks and don't pile stuff on top of my pack. If they do break, it can easily be overcome via small carabiner clips. ... show more

I bought this net after going through two others that lost their stretch after just a few months. This one's a little beefier than the others, has plenty of stretch to accommodate bulky loads, and it's holding up really well six months on - not a single elastic strand seems to have broken or lost its elasticity. The plastic clips seem pretty sturdy, too - no problems regardless of whether I hook them all the way around my rack's tubes or just catch an edge of my cargo box with the tip of the hook. ... show more

I kept losing things that I put in the milk crate on my bike so I bought this and it’s helped a lot. It’s tight enough that nothing’s falling out but not too tight that I can’t stick my hand in and grab something without having to unhook the netting.
