I like the product but, the set screws are too small. I read this in other reviews and took my chances. The other reviews on this issue were correct. The miter bar itself is perfect. To solve the loose set screws you have to wrap teflon tape around the set screws to get a secure fit. Powertec could solve this by providing M5 set screws instead of the 10-32. The M5 is slightly bigger and should work fine. However, to get a small set of M5 screws you would have to pay almost as much for the screws as the miter bar itself. If they resolve this issue. It is a 5 out of 5 across the board. One outstanding feature is the number of set screw holes. They are every 3 inches. Many points of contact. Solve the small set screw issue and you have a perfect product. Update 3/7/23... I contacted Powertec about the set screws being to small. They responded quickly to the email and sent out the corrected set screws. The set screws fit much better and are snug enough to not loosen over time. Kudos to Powertec for making the correction to a QC issue. Still my favorite source for miter bars. By far the best product and price point. Customer service is also A+. Don't be afraid to reach out to them, even for a new set of set screws. Buy with confidence. ... show more

These fit normal size miter slots in woodworking equipment. I purchased these to make a crosscut sled. They work well, they have adjustable screws in them for eliminate zero side to side movement.

    • Decent track bar, but a bit tedious to set up.

The bar is about 15 thousandths less than the nominal 3/4" width, and the slop is taken up with nylon set screws in crosswise threaded holes. So in order to adjust this, you have to have the set screw you're adjusting out of the miter slot in a "cut and try" sort of process. I've never used nylon adjusters before, and I hope they don't wear out too soon. Perhaps aluminum or brass screws would have been a better choice. I'm not knocking the bars, for the money I think they're alright, I just think they could be better. ... show more

Perfectly machined and precise. These worked well for a table-saw sled that I custom built. Slightly better value than from the competitor Rockler, who makes an identical product (but more money) Very satisfied.

    • Set screws loose

Confirming the same issue as others have had. Set screws are too loose. I wrapped some teflon tape around them to snug them up. Seemed to work ok. Still, pretty disappointing. Seems like someone on the team should have actually used these before locking the design.

Both pieces were slightly curved out of the package. Not bent- curved! Manufacturing error. Would not even fit the miter slot at all.

Happy with the miter bar. I have used the Rockler version in the past. This is cheaper especially when you add in shipping cost. I did find the miter bar a very snug fit on my table saw. So much so I needed to get a file out to level off a high spot in each of the miter slots. No need for adjustment screws which is good, I am use to these being metal not plastic. The main item I wish was different is the way it attaches to the jig with wood screws. I liked the Rockler method of threaded holes in the bar and flat headed machine screws.
