  • Works great for the price, not sure about the longevity.
I just got this tonight, put it together (the manual is ok except the pictures are completely worthless) and ran it through its first job on some tough ice that slid off my roof. So far so good, it started up on the second pull, runs great, idles great, has plenty of power to throw snow and ice. For the money it seems to be worth it. The downside is all the knobs and handles are flimsy feeling plastic.....not sure if they will hold up to below 0 winters here in MN. My old ariens st824 lasted almost 25 years before it gave up the good fight.....this one has a lot to live up to. Update 3-11-19 After a few more wet heavy snowfalls....I can say this thing is able to power through some really heavy snow. I also cleared out a part of my backyard that had 2 week old/18in tall snow and it powered right through it. Actually I'm very impressed with this machine so far. Update 2/13/2020 After using this for about a year now, couple of small issues. 1st, one of the plastic parts (the housing for the gear to turn the snow chute) has cracked. Not the end of the world but annoying. One other thing I wish this did, I wish you could aim the chute down another click or two...this thing throws the snow very well/far and sometimes it goes too far (neighbors property or some other tight spaces). Keeping this at 5 stars because it chows through snow/ice, starts on pull number 1 or 2 and runs great but the cheap plastic parts are definitely a cause for concern and should be a bit heavier duty. ... show more

  • Easy assembly, fast shipping
It came in a crate on a wooden pallet, nothing was wrecked. It was easy to assemble, it does not come with any oil. It ate through 4 inches of ice. Only takes one pull to start. Very quiet when running. Gave four stars because it has a plastic shoot and no off switch. It also comes with some spare parts and a rod to push down the shoot if it gets clogged. Update: made it through another midwest winter! ... show more

  • Very easy to assemble, excellent value
Went together very easy. I noticed reviews on similar units made by the same company about the cables not being able to attach them together. I just want to say they must be idiots because they slide right together no problem at all. After I put oil and gas in it I pull started it the first time after the third pole it fired right up no problems. After I plugged it in the electric start fired up first time. It has a lot of power the only thing I wish I would have gotten the step above with power assist for turning around but on the other hand I was trying to turn it around on dry pavement right now. But I'm sure when we have snow on the ground it will turn around easily. I love the 6-speed for forward to reverse. Other than that it's an excellent value for the money seems to be a good strong motor with a lot of torque hopefully I will find out on the first snowfall. ... show more

  • I brought this new and when i tried to use it did not work.
Very bad experience with this purchase. Bought and when arrive we put it together and it turned on. However, when we got first snow the machine would not go forward or back. We called and have been give a run around to get it replace or returned.

  • Read the whole description before you purchase
It is a sturdy machine but the tires are small/skinny and do not track well. Takes a lot of effort to get through larger amounts of snow. Gets stuck and you have to push to get through. Positive feedback it does throw the snow quite far.

  • Wow! Very Impressed.
When this snowblower arrived, there were a few missing bolts that I had to go buy at the hardware store. That being said, today I had the opportunity to put it to use. Overnight, we had 7 inches of wet snow. We have a very large driveway. I cranked up the snowblower, and I was very impressed. It cut through this snowfall like butter. It easily tossed the wet snow a good 20 to 25 feet. It performed better than my two previous units one of which was a much more expensive Toro unit and the other a slightly more expensive Ariens unit. ... show more

  • Great Product!!! Price and delivery were done well.
Snow Blower went together fine, instructions weren't that great, took longer to do for an old man who can't bend that well with a fused back. but it went together fine and works really well.
