I recently saw the Roto Razor tool on a TV Commercial. It sells for about $200 including a few extra blades and free shipping. This unit costs about $50.00 and it will do the same job. It has a laser light so that you can cut more accurately and it will cut through asbestos shingles, ceramic tiles and many other materials accurately and safely without having to use a very large circular saw, wet saw or tile saw. I need to use it to make some cuts in a Floormaster floor in the kitchen so that I can remove the damaged pieces and many other places around my home. I had been looking for a lightweight power saw to cut wood into pieces to make flower presses. I did not want a huge circular power saw, and when I saw this one I thought it would work out. And work it does! It is not heavy, it is easy to use and the saw has a light for guiding the lines one wants to cut. I find it easy to maneuver, especially easier than something like a bulky skill saw. I am a female and while I am strong, I really wanted something I could easily pick up and use without giving much thought to whether or not it would be safe. I was gifted a large circle saw but with my arthritis it was awkward and straining on my elbows. This allows me to do anything. It’s manageable. It has some weight to be small but it’s not overly heavy! Love it. #3 in my most used hand tools!

I didn't know what to expect from this small circular saw, but I am very impressed with it. I am a small handywoman and needed to make cuts in house siding. I didn't want to use my full size circular saw, which would be heavy to use vertically on the wall. So I purchased this tool and it worked terrifically. Received the saw, first month it worked well. Used it so much that I needed to change the saw blade, It was totally unable to remove. Took saw with immovable blade to local hardware store. They were also unable to loosen up the nut to remove blade. I then called amazon, explained the problem. Was told by first person that another saw would be sent to me - this never happened. End of April I called Amazon the second time - was told same thing, a new one would be sent to me - I was told there was no reference number for this conversation. Needless to say I'm still waiting for the replacement saw that I was promised on two different occasions. Beware, not sure if this was just one defective saw, as I have no new saw to compare it too, but I still haven't been able to remove the nut to change the saw blade, so it makes this saw useless to me. Amazon never follows through with their promises to replace it! ... show more

This tool is solid and powerfull. Due to a certain manufacturing inaccuracy, the cut is not at a right angle and cannot be adjusted to a right angle. Each cut is slightly slanted and this sometimes causes a problem. Maybe it's a manufacturing defect, present only on my instrument, but it bothers me and it is impossible to consider this instrument as first class. Laser line helps accuracy a lot. Dont forget to turn it off when done - it has its own batteries and a swich. Battery dies fast. Price is friendly. PS: After two years of useing its transmission died. ... show more
