My Craftsman 10" saw drowned in a flood, but it took up a lot of space and I did not use it very often anymore. But I needed a saw so I bought this one. I picked DeWalt as I appreciate their quality, and this saw is very high quality. And pretty heavy and solid but easy to move around. The fence with dial adjustment is great. It seems quite accurate. The product itself is 5 stars. Works great. Solidly built. The assembly instructions are 1 star. Thankfully there are Youtube videos showing the steps. Chinese are great at producing low cost quality products, but they're terrible at documentation. My guess is women handle instructions and they're generally not good at logic. I doubt a woman would ever read any reviews of table saws, so I'm not worried about offending anyone. ... show more

I love this table saw. Very Well thought out. Work Fantastic And everything was aligned from the factory, perfect. The only thing I can give less then one star, is the stand that they sell with this. I love the dial operated fence adjustment. It allows for very small, precise adjustments to the width of the rip. It's lightweight, compact and sets up on the folding stand in a flash. Great as a jobsite or homestead saw. I use it for both. I got mine on sale at a great price. Pay attention and respect the blade and you won't need the expensive Sawstop brand. ... show more

Great little big saw. I downsized from the 10" with the rolling stand because it is just too big and awkward for transporting to smaller jobs. The 8 1/4 has great power and everything that the 10" has, just lighter amd more portable. I'm a finish carpenter so I use it a lot and would highly recommend it for anyone that doesn't have the ability to roll a saw into their trailer. I have been getting into DIY around the house and have been able to do most projects with basic tools, e.g. circular saw, jig saw, router, palm sander, brad nailer, etc. But my wife wanted some pull out pantry drawers so I decided to buy a compact table saw. This is my first table saw so I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I love the small footprint, power, and the ability to store all of the accessories on the unit. I love the accuracy of the rip fence but the mitre gauge was another story. There is too much slop in the slots. I placed painters tape on the mitre gauge to take up some of the slop and re-adjusted the mitre gauge to about 89.7 degress which gave me a pretty consistent 90 degree cut. But overall I am loving this thing and completed the first of 5 pull out pantry drawers. **Update** Loving this saw the more I use it. I started working on a mobile stand (see pic) with a folding outfeed table. I will eventually add drawers undernearth the saw for storing push sticks, etc. The threaded bolts underneath the rubber feet of the saw were very useful when securing the saw to the stand. This saw has really helped me step up my diy game. Really enjoying it and highly recommended. ... show more
