I’m sold to the power smart brand . In the last year we’ve bought 2 craftsman push mowers that have both died . So I did some looking and found Power Smart . Decided to take the leap and hope for the best as I have never used power smart . Well today my lovely black power smart came in and I was able to mow through our knee high grass on the setting 5 of course but y’all this mower did the job without stalling or giving out . I live in texas and it’s very hot here . Even today it’s high of 92 . The care instructions are very detailed yet simple to read . It also came with synthetic oil .     • Update: Back to 1 star- Not Worth it
01/25/2024. This lawnmower never worked. Always was turning off minutes after starting and the replacement belt broke again. Now they want me to pay for the shipping to return the defective item they sent to me from the beginning. After my 11/18/2023 one star review, the PowerSmart support team got back to me on 11/20/23. At first they offered a full refund, but I would have to pack the mower and take it to FedEx by myself as they do not have a pickup service. They suggested to try to reissue the part first and offered to send the spare part to me free of charge if I confirm the part number from the instruction manual that came with the mower and also asked me to send pictures of the broken belt if I could. I did what they asked and received the replacement part on 11/27/2023. I appreciate their help and I will give this mower a second chance. 11/18/2023 It only lasted four months. No luck with customer service. The lawnmower was received on 6/16/23. At first worked well but on 10/4/2023 the belt (that makes the blade work) broke. I accepted the fact that I received a defective product and started searching for the part locally but my search was unsuccessful. One 11/9/2023 I sent a message to Power Smart USA through Amazon Product Support asking them for information about where I could order the part and I just got an automated message reply saying that they will get back to me shortly. As of today 11/18/2023 I have not received any response from customer service. On 11/11/2023 Amazon Product Support reached out to me asking if my issue had been resolved, obviously I answered NO but so far neither Power Smart nor Amazon has answered my request ... show more

The Powersmart push mower arrived in only a few days, in good condition. Assembly was simple and instructions easy to follow. A bottle of oil is included. Height adjustment is effortless. After reading a review that complained about the rear skirt becoming caught in the blade, I removed the skirt. Please remember to always wear safety goggles or face shield to protect your eyes. After the motor got hot there was a smell of burning paint, which soon went away. It cut tall grass without bogging down. I am very pleased with my Powersmart mower and plan to use it for many years. Edit: The rear bagger is much smaller than my old one. It doesn’t hold a lot of grass clippings. ... show more

I have had this one for a year now. I mow 1/2 acre every week during the spring/summer and the mower is only recommended for use up to 1/4 acre, so I know I’m getting the most out of it’s performance. I did make some adjustments, however. I first changed the blade. The stock blade is not good. I bought a replacement after the second outing because the stock blade just isn’t tough enough for my yard. Then, since I’m a short person, I cut about 2.5 inches off the ends of the handle and drilled some new holes to reattach it. The shorter handle makes this mower much easier to use for shorter people. It’s a good, cheap investment. Definitely worth the money ... show more

DONT BUY THIS!!!!! I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. THE UNIT IS GARBAGE. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COVERED UNDER A 3 YEAR WARRANTY WE USED IT MAYBE 6 TIMES TOTAL AND HAD TO TAKE IT TO BE SERVICED. AFTER THE COMPANY THEY HAD ME TAKE IT TO SAID THEY CANT FIX IT. POWERSMART TOLD THEM TO DISPOSE OF MY MOWER AND I WOULD BE REFUNDED. I WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY POWERSMART I HAD TO CALL 3 TIMES OVER 1 MONTH TO FIND ANYTHING OUT. COME TO FIND OUT THEY WILL ONLY ISSUE ME A 50 PERCENT REFUND ON THE UNIT. I give this 5 stars because it’s good value for the money. It’s height adjustable and has a bag. We just needed something cheap for our small lawn. Can’t say how it would hold up for a large area but for us it is perfect.

    • Where do I start about what's wrong
12/18/22 Update: 1 star to 3 stars. After I emailed it took a few days for them to get back to me, but they did get back to me. They asked me to tell them the part numbers of the broken pieces from the manual and I received the parts about a week later. That I do appreciate. 11/29/2022 Upfront it's a belt driven mower; this means it will wear out and the blade won't spin/cut. So far no answer after multiple attempts to contact by phone and email. An hour total listening to elevator music on repeat, no answer. Upon arrival 2 wheels broken ( I switched out with some wheels I had off a different mower). 1st day start string holder broke. After about 4 hours of use the belt wore out and the blade won't turn or cut grass. I gave this mower a try as I thought it was straight motor driven, but deceptive advertising. I even asked in the questions after the fact to warn others," is it belt driven?", Strangely I received 2 "no" answers before they shut down answers to the question. Don't buy belt driven mowers unless you want a short lived product that you can't get replacement parts for. ... show more
