Wow were we surprised. I was hesitant about purchasing a mower online. It had great reviews- with one minor one- the flap issue- they fixed that! Starts right up, very powerful motor, easy to use. However if your going from a front wheel self propelled mower to one Like this- a rear wheel self propelled it is different when turning. Plus this motor is larger than our old mower, so more powerful. If you’re hesitant like me- don’t be! Get it! It’s worth it.

Update to review: Mower will no longer start. I believe that gas is running through the carb into the cylinder. I filled the tank, and 1 hour later it was down 1 inch, and would not start. I tried removing the spark plug pull starting it about 10 times with the plug out, then drying off the plug and reinstalling but no luck. The next day, tank was down another inch. This mower was purchased about 6 weeks ago. I guess I can take it apart and try installing a fuel shutoff valve. Original review: I like this mower. Here are the pros and cons: Pros Easy to clean sponge air cleaner. One tiny coarse sponge, and one fine sponge. Wash, dry replace. Starts easily after one push of the primer bulb. Or none if the engine is warm. Packs a lot of grass into the bag. I estimate as much as 30 lbs of fine grass without clogging up the discharge. The mower came with 400 ml oil, a funnel for filling the crankcase, and a spark plug wrench. Cons The bars that control the kill switch on top, and the drive wheels on the bottom will KILL your fingers. I took away one star for this. As seen in the picture, I attached sections of black PVC pipe to each with zip ties. MUCH better. The metal pins on the grass catcher bag can slide too far to the side when you are hooking it on to the mower, so it may only hook on one side. I added 2 - 3/8 in nuts to each side, glued on with silicone seal. Much easier now. Not a huge issue, but the manufacturer could have pressed on a couple of plastic bushings here for cheap. The air cleaner sponges are tiny, and do not protect as well as a paper filter. If they become lost or damaged I don't know how easy it would be to replace. The engine seems a little louder than it should be for it's size. The main complaint I saw in other reviews was the rubber flap at the rear becoming detached. I easily removed it to begin with.

This is awesome LAWN mower I stress that this mower can handle any normal lawn. It is not a " back 40" mower What this mower is lightweight,powerful,maneuverable,fuel efficient. It is not all plastic, the body is steel, the plastic parts are not fragile, nor are they easily broken. The engine and drive shaft appear to be aluminum ( hence not a back 40 mower) Now my story... I ordered my mower to replace my broken mower, I received my mower quickly, assembled easily,oiled and fueled, she started first start. I mowed my yard and in an hour my mower had hit a baseball sized rock that was hidden in an overgrown patch of weeds. The mower stopped and seized the shaft was bent now here's the important part.. I was using the side discharge not bagging, both parts of the rock were held inside the mower they were not ejected! The mower body is not cheap, the engine is light not fragile and held together after hitting this rock. ( I will try to post pics) Now I was flummoxed to say the least, I got my paperwork expecting to get the runaround, I sent my information and all pertinent information to Amerisun ( the manufacturer) and in less than 12 hours got a personal response Amerisun immediately backed up their warranty and sent me a new mower, in one week ( today) I mowed my lawn again! Carefully checking for any debris. 👍 For general all purpose lawn I cannot recommend this mower or company enough they stood by their product. Buy this mower got nice lawn use this got an average lawn with crab grass buy this mower. Got a back 40 find another model from this company. Great customer service

Set name: 140cc Self-Propelled - Side Discharge
We moved to a new house and went from a postage stamp lawn to 1/3 of an acre. And that 1/3 of an acre is basically rolling hills, so our previous battery powered mower wasn't going to be up for the task. I wanted something that could handle the lawn without breaking the bank. So I chose this mower. It does the job. I don't regret the purchase, but there are times that you can tell why the mower is priced where it is. For instace, the pull cord to start the mower comes unattached (it hooks to the handle) at least once every time I mow. (You have to depress the "power bar" on the handle to pull it out again.) If the bag is full it will sometimes fall off of the mower. (It needs to be emptied anyway.) Little things like that. Nothing that impacts its performance - and it does consistently devour 1/3 of an acre of grass. The power assist setting isn't something I use but my wife (the time she mowed the lawn when I was ill) mentioned that it helped her get up the hills. I've tried it once and for me it moves very quickly (brisk walk pace; I'm a leisurely mower, you know, sort of zoning out in a sem-meditative state as you walk behind it). With no power assist, I can mow the full 1/3 of an acre without refueling. My wife had to refuel while using the power assist. Long grass? Weeds in the back flower bed? The mower devours them all. I tend to think of 5 stars as excelleng and 4 stars as good. This is a good mower. Two thumbs up, but it does have its quirks. We'll see how well it holds up over time and I'll add to this review if necessary.

5 Stars super powerful if you have weeds and grass like I do on my 10 acre property, I've only used it for two days and it has tackled everything I threw at this mower think 4 foot weeds and only stalled twice, It mulches without clogging is fairly economical on the fuel. The wheel drive is spot on and 10inch wheels in back added bonus. I been using it on the highest level setting for cutting my jungle, however if you are cutting grass be sure to set it at the highest setting and work your way down so as not to scalp all your good effort.

My mower went out so I needed to find an affordable one to use for a couple months. On the plus side, it is lightweight and easy to put together with a strong motor (144cc). Negative is the back guard is cheap and will not last and the side chute is small and easily gets stopped up. I've cut my grass three times. Normally I can cut my grass in 1.5 hours. With this mower, it takes me over 2 hours because it keeps getting jammed with grass and I have to stop, clear, and re-start. I first used the side chute. It is small and after about 20 feet it gets stopped up. Then after about 15 more feet the mower stops because it gets clogged with grass. I did not have this problem with my 125cc Murray motor. I have two areas in my yard where I planted zoysia grass. Those areas must be too thick with grass because the mower would get clogged and I have to walk very slow to prevent it from cutting off. Using the mulching option is pointless with thick grass. The guard on the back is thin and very flexible. If you pull the mower back, the guard will go under the blade. It lasted me 30 minutes before going under the motor and being chopped up. Luckily, it isn't needed because the back of the mower is low to the ground. This is the third mower I have purchased. It is the strongest but also it the most troublesome and the worst cut. Next year, I will be looking to see what Murray lawn mowers are on sale. Four months later, this mower is unusable. The plastic cannot handle the heat from the mower. One wheel broke off the front and the other is wobbly. The back guard broke off. I peg that holds the panel where the grass catcher attaches broke off so the panel can no longer be attached. The bottom of both sides of the handle at the bottom broke off. I contacted Amazon and PowerSmart was to get with me. They did not respond. The product is junk. It deserves less than one star. I wish I read the reviews at other sites.

This a hunk of ….oh yes it is..Fred Sanford would love this thing come by my house and pick it up it’s sitting on the curb.,this thing will not start and burns oil.,I add 1/2 quart every time I use this hunk of….. but now it will not start !!
